Remarks
The college is good if you are a studious student who has little to no hopes of having a fun social life. It is located in a town that has almost nothing to offer to students who want to hang out and have fun.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for CSE is outdated as it does not incorporate the new technologies that have come up in recent years. Students have to learn about them on their own, from online sites or through training institutes.
Placement Experience
Mass-recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini are the ones offering placements in the college. The college doesn't provide internships much. Several students opt for vocational training or go to IITs for an internship.
College Events
The college hosts fresher's day for the freshers batch every year. Then, a football match is held on the occasion of Teachers' Day. Several small events take place over the year. The college fest, Espektro is held in the month of March.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible enough. Being a government college, most of the fees are paid by the government itself. The highest fees are for the IT department, which is 12000 rupees and the least is 3000 for ME and EE.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are none offered by the college. Although the WB government provides freeship schemes to students from economically weaker sections of reserved castes. If you are a general category student, it will be very hard for you to get a free ship.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are very few. There is a sports tournament held in our college once a year. Sports like cricket, football, badminton, and table-tennis are played. Labs are okay for the departmental streams.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is great. We have several alumni in places such as Flipkart, IIMs, etc. One of our alumni is also a BDO in West Bengal. Senior students are also helpful if you know who and what to ask.
Faculty
The faculty is great mostly. There are several teachers who have no criteria for attendance, yet students have 80-90% attendance. There are also teachers who want 75% attendance from students but students don't attend even 30% of the classes.
