Likes
- It's an all girls college, hence it's very safe for the girls and the whole vibe of the college is amazing because of it. It's amazing to see the girlhood among the students and that sets this college apart from the other coed colleges.
- The campus is beautiful, with greenary, birds, butterflies and flowers giving us ample enough locations to click beautiful pictures.
- The college is academically inclined hence there are some of the best students of the university here.
Dislikes
- Placements are not that great although if you have a good cgpa you can manage to bag a good one.
Course Curriculum Overview
After the NEP (New Education Policy) has been implemented in the university, the curriculum has enhanced a lot. It makes us more industry-ready as well as research-ready. One main exam is conducted at the end of the semester (end sems). Paper isn't that tough if studied well.
Internships Opportunities
Many startups, organisations, NGOs, etc. provide openings to our college students. They are mostly unpaid but some might be paid. Internships of the role of graphic designer, content writer, social media marketing, digital marketing etc. are mostly popular.
Placement Experience
The college has a placement cell of its own called J.E.E.T. which provides various kinds of internships to students across all courses. The placement is also decent if you have a good cgpa, although students mostly go for masters after graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Annual Fees is 50000/-. Total fees after 4 years is 200000/-. Fees is paid year wise. Several scholarships are available based on the background of the student (airforce/army/navy background, low annual family income, sports background, etc.). Merit based scholarships are also available.
Campus Life
The annual fest of this college is called "Shruti" which takes place during the fest season of DU which is between February-April. There is a very big air conditioned library with a diverse range of books. The classrooms are spacious with projectors, although it can become hot during the summers due to the lack of air conditioning. There are several societies including Indian dance, western dance, dramatics, film and photography, Indian music, western music, science and innovation, NSS, NCC, and many more.
Hostel Facilities
There are two hostels, one inside the campus which has non-Ac rooms but is centrally air cooled via ducts, and one outside the campus which has AC rooms. Rooms are double sharing and quite spacious. Mess provides food 4 times a day and has a fixed menu for all 7 days of the week which is repeated. Hostel fees is 162000/- per year for non-AC rooms.
Admission
This is a north campus college of Delhi University hence there is a lot of opportunity and exposure. Moreover this is a girl's college which makes it very safe and smooth for girls. If you're looking for such kind of an experience this college is apt. Admission takes places through the DU website. They consider the CUET scores and release cut off lists based on the preference list filled.
Faculty
Highly qualified professors with PhD background. Teachers are very helpful and provide guidance and clear doubts whenever needed. Special mentor-mentee sessions are also conducted among teachers and students to discuss future plans of the student. Lesson plan is followed timely. There is just one main exam which is the end sems, although class tests and internal tests are taken during the course itself.
