What Students Say?

Likes

The secludedness of SRCC is what I feel the best. It has only 2 courses at the undergrad level which creates a good environment without much rush.
The faculty is very helpful, knowledgeable and proactive and genuinely want to teach. This is at all UoD colleges.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvements and this is the case with all DU colleges.
The DUSU elections are a major let down for me as it creates havoc in the entire area and even classes are distributed

Course Curriculum Overview

I first had plans to take up Bcom hons but later changed seeing the vast and diverse curriculum of Eco hons here at DU. Although it is a bit more difficult than bcom hons but ultimately the knowledge you get from eco hons cannot be matched with bcom hons. Also the placements for eco hons is better

Since I have just joined college, I do not have much idea about the internships and stipends but what I have heard from my seniors is that the internship opportunities are good but for very good opportunities it's best to apply yourself.

Placement Experience

The college placements are quite good with highest packages going upto 36 lakhs. Although I am thinking to pursue Masters after this and not considering a placement just after undergrad. The college placements are pretty good but only for people who have worked hard and have good grades.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

My total fees for the general category is Rs 33425 and there is no breakup given to us regarding the fees. I do not have much clue about the fees for other categories and as far as scholarships are concerned, we have ample opportunities ranging from Dr SN Maheshwari Scholarship to Reliance Foundation Undergrad Scholarship. We also have access to the national scholarship portal.

Campus Life

Firstly, I am unhappy with the infrastructure and DUSU elections. Apart from that, everything here at SRCC and DU is pretty good with every college organising amazing fests and events. The inter college competitions are also very good.

Admission

I had gotten selected for Christ Bangalore, NMIMS, NMCCE and St Xaviers Kolkata, apart from SRCC but I still chose SRCC as it is one of the best colleges in the field to offer this course and also has a reputed name for itself.

Faculty

4.5

I feel the faculty to be utterly good and not only teaching us the syllabus but giving life lessons as well. In this regard, Professor Ashwini for Microeconomics is the best person. As far as exams are concerned, we have a total of 150 marks out of which 90 marks is the final exam and 60 is the internals, which comprises of attendance, continuous assessment and class tests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like my course because from the beginning I had to study Political Science under Bachelor of Arts. Also, this course is taught very well in the college but if some changes are made in it like language and selection of the right professor then it will be even better. Our college had good staff members and very friendly and helpful alumni. the only exception is hostel facility due to which students have to struggle outside with cheap quality of food and residence. otherwise, everything is proper and suitable.

I had gotten admission in NMIMS, Symbiosis Pune, St. Xaviers Mumbai, St. Xaviers Kolkata. However, I chose SRCC because it is by far the best commerce college in India. It was my dream and my first choice and I was beyond happy when I got the Acceptance letter. The admission is done through the CUET-UG exam conducted by NTA. For B.com(H), we have to opt for the subjects Accountancy/Math, Economics, Business Studies, English. Each subject is for 200 marks so the total comes to 800. The cutoff is 780 for general category. I did not apply for any other colleges, SRCC has the Best Repute among all the Commerce Colleges of India and also has the highest placements for the Courses it offers. SRCC known for a reason.

For entrance we had to give cuet exam and when I got admission the number I scored was good and it was 682 and it was good because at that time many students scored less than 650, there were less students who scored above 700. Even my rank was under 100 in my course in my category at that time.
