Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The relevance of the course matches the industry needs but is not that efficient to help you crack a good package. For example, we have to study the web development on our own there is no subject which let us learn about web dev.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The whole amount of Rs. 2 lac(yearly) contains the Rs. 1,86,000 of tution fees and the rest is covered by the other charges of about Rs. 6000 and it also has a one-time payment of Rs. 11,000 at the starting of the course. All in all, a four year program hai institute fee of Rs. 7.04 lacs and hostel fee of Rs. 3.01 lacs.

Campus Life

4

Overall, I have a neutral opinion about the college experience because of the bad infrastructure and boys to girls ratio of the also merely 14% but the opportunities are abundant for you to excel. Talking of club involvement pec has a very good USP of clubs because there are all the clubs which are very active something or the other is happening in the college everyday.

Admission

I chose this college because I am a resident of Chandigarh only and it becomes very easy for me to commute from home to college . The food thing about the college is that you are surrounded by good and productive minds so you are destined to grow there and that's why pec has highest package recorded in the whole tricity .

Faculty

4

Faculty of computer science department is chill but rest of the departments are a bit tight on terms of curriculum and attendance. There are mainly two exams in one semester one is the mid-sem and other is end-sem covering 80% marks and the rest comprises of quizzes, assignment submission on time , practicals. The relationship with some faculty members is very good whereas some of the teachers are very bad and don't even have the full knowledge of what they teach. Dr. Manish kamboj is one of the faculty member whom I find to be a great mentor to us ,he even involved us in his own project to work on.

Placement Experience:

In CSE, companies start to come in 6th semester for campus placements (few companies also come in 5th). In my course around 70% students secure placements. The highest package offered last year was 52 LPA and the average package is 5LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include Amazon, Cisco, Paypal, Virtusa, Deloitte, among others.

Placement Experience:

PEC offers a good amount of on-campus companies which provide internships and placements. From 6th semester students become eligible for internships and placements. This provides an edge to students of pec compared to other colleges as they have more time to get placed. Various companies like Microsoft, Google, Uber, DE SHAW, phonepe, Natwest, Amdocs, Cisco, and a number of others companies make over overall 600+ offers. The highest package is offered by Microsoft of 54 lakhs and Uber offers the highest paid internship for 2lakh per month.

Admission:

I have got admission in the last round JAC(post jee exams).JAC allows every candidate of jee exam to find their relevant colleges according to their marks. The round are held in between of april and june (supposed). The dates are shown on the result site and the head office becomes UIET Sec 24chd for chd and dont know for other states,Fee for the seat is paid for three rounds but for the fourth round college fees is paid before hand that means if you are selected for the seat your money will be paid as fees in the college and if not your money will be returned. In every college 7day imteractive session is organised so that the students have no problems in their further sessions. I opt for this course as it allows maximum field work that is most requires during placements. This allows me to challenge my limits and endure my patience and stress level. Moreover it enables me to interact with the market and different people that endures my anger management. At end the course helps in personality development
