Likes

Infrastructure is good and well maintained
There is no ragging in the college which helps the juniors to get along
Cafeteria is good and hygienic with good food

Dislikes

AC not available in every class room very challenging in the summers
Class timings are not convenient for the students who live far
Language barriers for the students who are out of the state many teachers talk in their mother tounge which becomes hard for the students to understand

I want to Pursue in cooperate market so I took bcom and later start a business of own It helps us to knw the real value of time and Money market which is core factor factor to survive and grown in this economy the teachers are good in their job so there is no change needes as of now There are class test and mid sems which depends on the students knowledge if he is well with the concepts he can score high

Class Size: 125Course Fees: INR 270000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In The heritage college admission was 51000 with 1 semester fees and per semester 32000 for bcom hons it is increasing in a slow rate of 1% Evey year And I have not got and scholarship for the course cute marks were not taken into consideration

Campus Life

As of now I am new to the college so I do not much have experience about the college life and focusing on the social aspects sometimes it's awkward to get along with people as human can be rude sometimes and enjoy thier personal company the infrastructure is quite well equipped the only problem is not available ac in every class room

Admission

I chose this college as it gives me an exposure of living in a different city and learning new culture with proper education and guidance for my better future i applied for other colleges too but as our financial condition is not so well equipped I had to choose heritage The admission process can be done through online or offline with the help of college office members

Faculty

The faculty systems here is quite nice there are several teacher for one subject which helps the students to finish their subject's earlier and prepare better The course of bcom usually takes 3 year's but in cu it is 4 years the exams are quite hard compared to other universities as it is a State University marking scheme are marked in cgp

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

i got a confirmed in all colleges of kolkata like bethune, loreto, brabourne, etc. i didnt get into xaviers. Xaviers was my first choice but since i didnt get into it i was happy with THC or bethune. my admission for bethune came a while later, when i was already comfortable with heritage. plus the campus vibes, faculty and friends played an important role into choosing this collge. i didnt get into xaviers because i didnt have score high enough to secure the index marks. the admission process of my college is very easy, they accept 10+2 level examinations and you are eligible to fill up the form if you have secured 60%, but the admission desk is very very polite and helpful. overall the entire experience was incredibly smooth....Read More
