Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are taken by my faculty and surprise tests are conducted to help us to get related with the new subjects like econometrics. International conferences are organised my the college which helps the student to get an opportunity to meet with people who work in the respective field
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition and other fees for B.COM is 35,100, BSC [ Econ] and B. A [ ENG ] is 31,500 where as for BSC [ Phy/Math/Chem] is 33,000. The admission fees [one time only] and the caution deposit fees[refundable] is 10,000 for all the courses . So the total payable fees at the time of admission for B.COM is 55,100 and BSC [Econ] and B.A [Eng] is 51,500 and for BSC [ phy/maths/chem] is 53,000.
Campus Life
The heritage college has various clubs like a music club, dance club , drama club and photography club. Each club is well known in around all colleges in West Bengal. The photography club which i am a part of every year a photo walk just before the Durga puja is organised by the president and the vice president of the club so that all the prospective photographers can have an opportunity to click pictures and show their talents. Nikon workshop was also organised by the college in the fashion photograhy field .
Admission
I always wanted to study at Heritage College because of the faculty and yes I did get into other colleges like Gokhale College, Shri Shikshayatan etc but i wanted to be taught by the author who wrote the books related to economics when me and my friends was in school in 11 12 .
Faculty
The faculty in Heritage College is great overall. They are extremely interactive with the students. As an economics student, my HOD is Dr. Debashish Mazumdar whose expertise in the subject and guidance throughout my course have helped me to get more into the subject , and got more easier for me . He helped me overcome my fear in this subject. The other professors are extremely helpful and insightful
