- the management of the campus is very good . it is neat and clean all time throughout the year.
- the seniors are quite supportive. helps us in every situation .
- a lot of events are conducted throughout the year. just like spring fest , inter iit games , social and cultural nights etc.
Dislikes
- a lot of cycling is required. the class rooms are very far away from the hostels
- the girls and boys ratio is quite low . in my department out of 90 students only 14 are girls .
- there is no such good town near the campus . the main town (kolkata) is located more then 100 km from the campus .
Course Curriculum Overview
i would like to talk about my couse and its curriculum. basically everyone thought that agriculture and food engineering is only teaches about how to cultivate crops but it is not the reality this course deals with Artificial Inteligence and also the making of big harvesters and connects the crops with AI to detect its various factors . a lots of lab practicals are held during the lesson to teach the fundamentals and the on ground practical analysis . it is the only course that deals with yhe most practicals things .
Internships Opportunities
IIT kharagpur ,offers a wide range of internship opportunities. example summer internship - 2 - 3 months in different companies research internship- partnership with international universities ex - NTU, DAAD etc government and public sector internship- DRDO, ISRO etc.. Job riles offered are software engineer, data analyst , full stack developer , industrial engineer, etc..
Placement Experience
placement reports of iit kharagpur is best among all the other IITs . it is the oldest IIT so the alumni network is so good . so they helps us for the placements for the different departments and MNCs . The average placement is 20 to 24 lakh per anum. and a lot of students also go for off campus placements and higher studies too. the companies like google , microsoft, flipkart, amazon .. etc MNCs take students from our college every year . overall 80 to 90 % students get placed during the placement. i will go for the higher studies insted of placement after graduation because i want to expore it in a higher level.

Campus Life
the campus of IIT kharagpur is the biggest campus among all IITs . its nearly 2200 acres so this makes a lots of place in the campus . the campus is well maintained , clean and infrastructre is very immpresive . the events like 1. spring fest 2. kshitj 3. inter iit sports 4.social and cultural events the central library consists of more than 6 lakh books sports facilities are top notch . there is more 30 clubs are there in iit kharagpur .
Hostel Facilities
there is more than 30 hostels are there in iit kharagpur example lal bahadur sastri hall of residence, MMM, BC Roy hall etc... the hostels are clean and maintained and the management department is very resposive towards every complaints and improvements . the mess department is also very well . the quality of meal is very good . a variety of vegetables and non veg items are given . the registration process is good and hostels are very affordable compare to other college.
Admission
IIT kharagpur is one of the most prestigeous college in india . its NIRF ranking for 2024 is 5 . so this things brings me to this college . bassically i like the college campus and its placements are also quite very good . a lot of internship oppurtunities are given to the freshers in the industries . the faculty and seniors are very supportive .
Faculty
the faculties are very supportive. the helps us whenever needed . the course structure is little bit complicated to average students becouse a lot of new things are inroduced whuch we didnot learn in our past schoolings . exam system is very maintained . at first the course may be a little bit harder for you but by the time you will understad the structure and you can score good marks . exams are not that hard all the questions are asked from basic and from the class notes and tutorials .
