- I liked how professional this college is and how the teachers teach in a way that is mostly practical and by giving real life scenarios.
- I like that we have a commen dress code or uniform which keeps us in discipline and makes us proud to be in a merchant navy college.
- The campus and the hostel is very good and comfortable and the food has different variety in it.
Dislikes
- Since it's only been 6 years for this college so there are some features that our first years are gonna get that we only hoped for.
- The location is a little too far from the city market so ut gets a bit expensive.
- The mosquitos are a big problem here so gotta be prepared.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is very relevant and we get to learn what we are going to use in the future and which will help us in our future fields. The course prepares us well for the future and we are able to learn both the theory and the practical.
Placement Experience
Placement are good as there are low number of students so the placement are reliable. My plan is to get in a good company, and yea good companies do come her. So yea we can trust the placement cell.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well , i an in 3rd year for me it was yearly 275000, which includes 25000 of program fee , hostel , mess food , laundry , uniforms And it was 20000 caution deposit other than the main fees. But it has increased for our first year students , the increment is by 25000. Our main fees includes all the other courses fee that we will do after this course. There us no difference in fees for any casts.
Campus Life
The social life is good, people that come here are educated people who came after giving entrance exam so have that type of mindset and will not take this course lightly and study well. The technology is good and there are some good facilities provided as treadmill, sports.
Admission
So , i applied for imu mumbai , but due to my cbse boards results , i got this campus The process is simple , you need to take science in 10th, and PCM in 12th , the PCM percentage should be greater than 60% and English should be greater than 50 %. Then you have to give an entrance exam called IMUCET. Then you have to clear medical check up and everything.
Faculty
The faculty here , most of them are higly experienced captains who know what they are teaching and know how to handle the situations with their students , whether they are going through tough times or not , they are very interactive, some are strict as they should be so the student faculty relationship is strong yet not so soft , so they know when to stop or when to get serious . They are able to finish their syllabus on a timely manner , not too fast , not too slow. Well , there are a lot of faculty but not as much , coz some faculty are taking two or three subjects in different classes. Well, there are two end sem exams and two internals exams including one practical exam and oral exam , they are mot difficult if you study well.
