Likes

The discipline is very good because this is a second line of defence course so every student behave like a cadet .
Campus Life is very enjoyable and many fests oftenly happen here like many sports events and others .
Building of hostel and campus is modern and smart board are available fully air conditioning available in classroom.

Dislikes

Pollution beside the college because this college is in urban area so air quality is bad.
They need to improve on the gyms and other sports equipment.
Traffic outside the campus the campus is in pose area .

Placement Experience:

From third semester the students became eligible for campus placements, Sima marine , synergy,chevron,msc and many other big companies like fleet aema also visits here . All students who are passed with no arrears got placements here .

It's worthwhile to study here

Likes

I like the atmosphere here , not too crowded area
Most of the faculties for BSc nautical science is captains
More number of guest faculties are working here

Dislikes

Less number of girls students comparing to
Other universities because the course I took
Is BSc nautical science and it is a male dominated profession

Placement Experience:

From second years itself companies starts giving placement offers . Also the percentage of placement here is 100% so I hope I will also get placed in a good company and for that there should not be any arriers

The INSiDES- IMU, Kochi Campus

Likes

I liked the location of our college, even though not very big of a campus but the location is very pleasing. View os the backwaters and 5 min walk to the beach is a experience not many people experience.
Our campus holds various events that gives us chances to socialoze with other campus student and get to know about various companies and opportunity outside our campus. The campus placements are not that good but Kochi is an emerging campus.
The level of teaching is very good, guest faculty as well as the permanent faculty are very friendly and supportive which gives us opportunity to interact more and get our minds out which helps us to understand concepts easily.

Dislikes

Not much facilities as per required for any merchant navy collage, but hope to get to see many new things in the future as Kochi Campus is an emerging campus, i am shure it will have its golden days too.

Placement Experience:

The placement of our collage are better as our collage has less student which gives a relax mindset to the mamangnment that not many people are left to place. In our collage gurls get placed in first year itself as the act of SYNERGY girls recruitment. For boys as well. Many good companies enroll in this collage.

A good future to everyone.

Likes

I liked how professional this college is and how the teachers teach in a way that is mostly practical and by giving real life scenarios.
I like that we have a commen dress code or uniform which keeps us in discipline and makes us proud to be in a merchant navy college.
The campus and the hostel is very good and comfortable and the food has different variety in it.

Dislikes

Since it's only been 6 years for this college so there are some features that our first years are gonna get that we only hoped for.
The location is a little too far from the city market so ut gets a bit expensive.
The mosquitos are a big problem here so gotta be prepared.

Placement Experience:

Placement are good as there are low number of students so the placement are reliable. My plan is to get in a good company, and yea good companies do come her. So yea we can trust the placement cell.

All about IMU Kochi

Likes

The hostel facility is too good even better than any other colleges in India also
The campus is decent big and full of greenery.
In the passing out batch there are 36 students and 34 are placed out of them , all the girls of present 2nd and 3rd yr are already placed

Dislikes

There is no swimming pool , it is proposed to govt.
Its position is very far from North and East india
Sometimes u may be don't like the food, because of South Indian supremacy

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semister they are eligible for placements. Highest package is 900000. Msc , Synergy, thom , seven islands,apj , chevron like companies comes here. Almost 90-95% are getting placement every year.

IMU KOCHI real experience

The cleanliness : The college is well maintanied and clean, The mess is also neat and clean compared to other colleges,
The Hostel : IMU kochi has one of the best hostel facilities, it is very clean, housekeeping workers clean the mess and our cabins oftenly,
The placement : Most of our seniors are placed in pretty good companii like MSC, Synergy, Chevron, Thom, etc

Dislikes

No Simulators, Although the simulators are not yet available but we have simulator rooms which are build, but need the equipments.
No swimming pool : Currently there is no swimming pools, we have to take pools outside of our campus for training, but a swmmio pool is expected in our Campus soon
Not that much digital / smart class room, lack of smart boards, they are yet to come.

Placement Experience:

Since our college have less students so the chance of getting placement is much higher, most of our seniors are placed, if we have any Backlog in any subject then it is difficult to have a placement, Also for female cadets the placement ratio is very much hight, most the female cadets get placement from sem 2 itself. The companies visit here are MSC, Synergy, Chevron, Fleet management, Thom Tankers, Williamson, Anglo eastern etc After getting the degree we have a 12 months training period with paid stipends.

Indian maritime University is the best in terms of giving the courses in field of merchant navy

College campus faculty placement infrastructure and everything which provided at the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The classroom is fully air conditioner based and highly cleaned environment and campus also. Our campus is also so beautiful and it is located in the coastal area. Our library is also super. Whatever books we need each and every book is available here free of cost. Every year Extracurricular activities will happen and So many fests. The faculty at the institute is quite well they all are captains who sailed for almost 15-20 years and have lots of experience in the field of shipping. The exams and results all are conducted on time the process is quite easy and simple for everyone i.e students and as well as teachers.
