the very long route for taking classes and the bad condition of the rooms in the hostel
the location of the college as it makes us impossible to enjoy the city life of the college

Course Curriculum Overview

the course curriculum is very well managed to provide the student enough time to improve their newer and soft skills in a professional manner and the profession in this area is filled with scope in terms of the upcoming scenarios of the nation . the difficulty of the exams are very leniant and can be easily managed by any serious and professional time management student.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the insdian institute of technology kharagpur is quite decent and very reasonable as it provides a lot of facilities inside the campus for free and inclusive infrastruture and a very skilled and competetive environment within the campus . The tution fee is around 1lakh rupees for 1 semester for general people and it is around 66,666 rupees for obc-ncl people or people having their family income less than 8lakh rupees and for people coming under the section of less than 5 lakh rupees as annual earning the academic fees is around 33,333 rupees and for people having their family income less than 1 lakh or people belonging to ST/ST caste then their academic fees is not applicable and their fees is considered as null.

Campus Life

the overall experience being in an IIT is very much enjoyable and happening as i had dreamt it of in my jee time period . I got involved in two clubs/society one named Communique and the other named institute wellness group . It was fun being involved in such clubs and getting engaged in their events which will eventually help in building connection and having a healthy social life

Admission

I chose IIT KHARAGPUR over other colleges because there are no other colleges to choose from I chose the best possible college acccording to my JEE ADVANCED rank and this was the best i got and i love my decision. I had applied to other colleges such as NIT and the other IITs and i got confirmed admissions in many NITs and tier 2 and tier 3 IITs but i chose IIT kharagpur because this is the biggest and the oldest college in the country.

Faculty

the behavior and the hositality of the staff and the faculty members are very much appreciable in terms of their helping nature and The course structure is very refined and strategically designed to make the student's schedule light and not make him/her feel overwhelmed . The exam systems and the rules are very much strict and designed to not make any students indulged in any of the unfair activities. the marking schemes are very much well managed and restricted to the pattern which is being followed in the past years

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field. I finally chose IIT KGP beacuse it is providing me better branch than IIT Delhi and I got interested in this college beacuse my teacher in myh senior schoo is also from IIT KGP they taught me a lot of stories of there college time and I talked to some seniors of college for admissionb regarding prespective so they advised for IIT KGP.Therefore I chose IIT KGP over IIT Delhi.
