- Our college has very peaceful environment.Our playground is quite big and our auditorium is quite large which hold a lot of people
- The students are very warn and inviting.Since it is an all girls school we never see each other as competion girls supports girls.
- Out college has a lot of greenery.There are lot of plants and flowers in our college we also have scared garden in spring it is a sight to behold.
Dislikes
- The cafeteria food even though quite affordable the options are very limited. This is the area which needs to be improved
- The internet network in our college is horrible , there are lot of jammers throughout the college due to which we can not use internet and it can be quite frustrating as we are not able to.receive calls and texts.
- It has been quite a long time since the college was made hence the infrastructure is not quite upto par .the fans barely work and there is no air conditioning in classes and the benches are also quite uncomforatable to sit on.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am a commerce student who is pursuing ca along with my college ,B.com programmed is a degree that goes well with it was the biggest reason for choosing this course. To be honest most of the things we are taught are very theory based and do very little to prepare us for the real world , along side our DSE core subjects we also have to manage VC, SEC, AEC and GE which only add burden on us due to them we are barely able to manage college
Internships Opportunities
We have placemat cell in our college due to which we have quite a lot placemat opportunities DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, Wipro, KPMG, PwC, Willi Tower, Watson, and IN shorts are the prime recruiters in Gargi college. Student how are active part of college are able to snatch such opportunities ..We had intership fair in our college organized by the placement cell it was held on 2nd of may, 2024. Here students were recruited by companies like Offing, Zomato, nttdata, Bain & company, Kelton, urban company, A&M
Placement Experience
The students start getting placement in 3rd year of college. There have quite lot of companies vising for campus placement in Gargi like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Deloitte, EY, Wipro, KPMG, PwC, Willi Tower, Watson, and In shorts. etc. The highest package offered at Gargi College, University of Delhi in the 2023–2024 session was INR 21.05 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is quite affordable in the first the fees was rs15675 but it has increased to rs20000 this year. Other than this we have to pay examination fees. My batchmates having other courses also have similar fees structure. There are scholarship available for kids with financial strain.
Campus Life
We have our annual fest Reverie which is held in February it is three day fest day where societies perform and in the last day there is singer performance, In Navratri we have Mahotsav and In October we have siesta Our annual Diwali fest where we all flex our traditional outfit.
Admission
I got admission through CUE , my preferred choice was SRCC or other well-known north campus colleges, however since the admission criteria was so high I got Gargi which was my 23rd preference .The admission process was fairly easy after clearing CUET I applied for DU colleges where I got Gargi then I had to applied my marksheets and submit fees.
Faculty
There are more than 200 faculty members to over 4500 students, so the faculty to student ratio is 10:1. The faculty members are quite approachable and warm. In our first semester I really liked my Business law teacher Misremembers Bindra. Her way of teaching is quite exceptional and I was always eager to attend her classes. In my second semester.
