What Students Say
Likes
- Teachers are very supportive and helpful, they genuinely like teaching and work towards helping the students become something in future, they don't sugarcoat things and give us directly what we can get if we study enough and not.
- The crowd: aryabhatta's crowd is pleasant, 3 weeks in and I can guarantee you will find all type of people but not the demotivating ones, You will find something to learn from through everyone.
- Infrastructure: the infrastructure of college is very calming and refreshing, it may not be as big but it covers everything important and essential one may need, I think compared to the colleges nearby aryabhatta's college is far better.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure: Even though i like the whole vibe of the infrastructure aryabhatta provides but it still lacks an auditorium, the library is too small. There is a new building in construction but it hasn't opened in forever.
- Facilities: Hostel isn't available in our college and this seems like a very big drawback, also there are very less societies. fests are good enough but not the du level fests.
- placements: from what i have heard from seniors there arent any placements through college atleast for our course, which downplays the reputation of a college of du by a lot.
Course Curriculum Overview
I picked this course because of my interest in Computer science. So far I have seen myself get more into it because of how the curriculum has been set. I do think our schedule is too hectic and the assignments being flooded on us from day one are a lot but so far so good as to make us understand the grind. the inclusion of sec and vac subjects Is good, we didnt get a choice in first sem but they did say we will in second.
Internships Opportunities
For the course I am pursuing that is, BSC computer science there is not much about in placements but we do have a departmental society called techpinoeers, they do participa and cultivate knowledge about internship and placements. But for other degrees like there have been some Top Recruiters for aryabhatta college being lenskart KPMG Wipro Google and many more. The highest package goes to 11lpa and median being 5Lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college fees for bsc computer science per year is 37,320 which in first year is taken in lumsum amout, our course is of 3 years basically but according to choice of student under NEP can be of 4 year, so total fees come upto 111960 or 149280. there are a few scholarships offered to students based on their 12th academics and people of weaker section but they have to search it through. Our seniors mentioned that our fees has been increasing over the time, they do think about working on it.
Campus Life
some fests held in aryabhatta college that i know of as a fresher are elixir, AAVAAHAN, Euphony and they take place between december and feb. The books in library I would say are very less comparatively, only one floor scarp that, only one room has books. all rooms have smart board we can say, some labs are very nice but some arent as good, given the ac doesn't work in them. our ground is shared with RLA but overall its okay.
Admission
I choose aryabhatta college Because ofc its a south campus college and is affiliated with delhi university, beside that I gave it a higher preference than any other du college for the Reputation it holds but also the environment the crowd and the location are far better than most others and i have to say I am not disappointed at all. My preference was best north college for bcom h than bsc cs than south colleges for bcom h than bsc cs. We need to clear CUET exams and have a score of atleast 650/800 to get into this college for general students, it may go down by 50/100/200 for category students
Faculty
I appreciate my college faculty ad they have deep knowledge about the subjects they teach and i personally think they have passion for it as well, There is gagan sir for pup and i personally feel he tries to bring out the best in students and also for mfc upasana ma'am is really good in getting us conceptual clarity. when i personally was doubting my decisions their way of explain how things will go through this point onwards made me understand the complexity a little. overall I think they make my college experience a little bit better.
