Course Curriculum Overview
The B.Tech IT curriculum at Mukesh Patel School of Technology and Management is generally relevant and comprehensive. I chose this course because it offers a well-structured blend of core IT concepts, practical exposure, and emerging technologies like AI, ML, and cybersecurity. This curriculum effectively prepares students for real-world applications by including industry-relevant projects, internships, and hands-on labs, which are crucial for gaining practical knowledge. However, some improvements could be made by incorporating more updated content on evolving technologies and enhancing the focus on interdisciplinary skills. Teaching methods could also benefit from more interactive and collaborative approaches, such as problem-based learning and peer discussions. The exams are frequent but well-timed; however, their difficulty varies. Introducing more open-book assessments or project-based evaluations could better test practical understanding and reduce rote learning, making them more
Internships Opportunities
MPSTME offers diverse internship opportunities that prepare students for real-world applications. Companies like TCS, Reliance Jio, Goldman Sachs, L&T Infotech, Deloitte, Infosys, and Amazon frequently offer internships to students across IT, finance, consulting, and core engineering sectors. These internships often come with stipends, ranging from ?10,000 to ?50,000 per month, depending on the role and company. For instance, Amazonoffers a Doftware Development Intern position with a stipend of ?30,000 - ?50,000 per month where students work on scalable backend services, optimizing algorithms, and cloud-based solutions for e-commerce. Projects include building AI-powered tools, developing web applications, and data science models. These internships enhance skills in areas like coding, data analytics, and business strategies.
Placement Experience
My stream is BTech IT so I know about the IT placements which include companies like: TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) Infosys Accenture Capgemini L&T Wipro Oracle IBM Around 85 to 90% of the eligible students get placements. My plans after degree is to go for Masters/MBA. But before that get a job for 1 year or 2 or do some internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid 300000 for my first year. I paid 350000 for my second year. I paid 370000 for my (current) third year. I will pay 370000 for my fourth year. I had taken a year drop in my first year and so i had two options wheather to take a year drop or take readmission. Readmission basically meams repeating the whole first year and the fees for that would have been around some 90000. And year drop means one year at home and study for the exams you have failed in. Then after one year guve your exams, the fees for the exams would be 1000 per subject. During that one year at home, i did some online courses to utilize my time and improve my portfolio.
Campus Life
The college life is amazing, we have big fests and college events like TATVA, SATVA and many more. We have artists frm all over India performing here, be it a singer or a standup commedian or anyone. Thwre are many student clubs in collegea and the college lso helps us organize these events. Every classrom is air conditioned and has a smart board.
Admission
I applied to VIT and Manipal Jaipur. I didnt get in VIT cause i didnt score enough marks in the entrqnce exam and in Manipal i didnt fill the right form, so i had only one option left, MPSTME. MPSTME has their own entranceexams based on which you get admission in the college. The exam is easy. I chose MPSTME cause i stay in Mumbai and a college close to your home is a boon. Cuts all costs of hostel, food, rent, etc., just travelling costs to the college.
Faculty
The college faculty is very professional. They are very kind and helpful. The college college library and portal are very helpful for getting notes and previous years question papers. Professors also provide question banks for exams which help students a lot. There are 3 exams, 2 unit tests and one term exam. Unit tests are of 10 marks each. And the term exam is of 100 marks. Scire well in your unit tests to improve your internals. Term end exams are the main deal. Scire well in them to pass.
