Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Yeah, I would like to read the course curriculum in term of reverence and comp Specific aspects of the curriculum that influence your decision to choose in the course, how will the curriculum prepared for real world applications or further academic p Suggest the areas of improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods, the frequency and timing of exams along with your perspective on the difficulty level level is also very good

Placement Experience

4

Yeah, the placements are pretty decent, yeah, but but people got 55,00,00 maximum placement last year and two students got above 1CR package but that was of campus. Yeah, you got you can get placement of a higher salary package but the main Moto or reason can we say that for getting a high cent package is that you have to focus on your skill you have to create your skill. You have to make yourself better. You have to discipline so that you can get a better GPS so at the end you can sit in all companies if you will have a greater CGP, you can sit in all companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of our college is 25 lakhs the per semester fees of our college is around three lakhs. The hostel fees of our college is around 50,000 and the fees is around 40,000. I know it is a bit more expensive than I expected, but yeah, but I can do, but the college provide various facilities and the average package of the college is also very good, so that's why I have opted this college.

Campus Life

4.5

Very good Yeah, the campus life is very good at the facilities and technological provisions with the classroom. The overview of sports and extra activities offered in the campus are very good. There is a very big playground in which there are many surrounds like the grounds of cricket, football, basketball, badminton, lawn, tennis, and many more, yeah, I like Thapa, very much the hostel, faculties, facilities and facilities are both very good and the my roommate is also very good

Hostel Facilities

5

Role I can say that it is worth of the package, but yeah, it is slightly bit expensive. The meal facility which is given in the mess or you can see. Canteen is very good. They provide three times of three times of food in a day first is our breakfast is our lunch and our dinner breakfast is from 730 to 10 o'clock and the lunch is from 1230 1:58 PM and the dinner is from seven30 to 9 PM. I can say that the food of the quality is very good and the people who make the food are very good.

Admission

Have written exam, but unfortunately, I didn't clear the exam so I have also opted any other backup options like a top university, Delhi University, et cetera but yeah, I didn't got the branch which I wanted in Delhi University so that's why I have opted Thapar University at the last, but yeah, after coming here, I can I Thinking that I have not taken a bad decision. I am in favour of Thapar. I think I can say, think that I am not enough, they get mode.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are overall good. They provide us various facilities like the our professors are very helpful. If we have any doubt in any question, they help us to solve that question. They even asked multiple times in the class that whether if we have a doubt or not, I think that our professors are good and as well as our library teachers library facilities also very good. They help us to find the books we need. They help us to find the previous year question we need so overall the staff is very helpful. The facilities also And that is why I have this college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
