Likes
- The faculty of the college is extremely knowledgeable and is experienced. The teachers as well as the students in the college are from across India.
- The societies are a must explore in the college. The Indian music, Western Music, Indian Dance and Western Dance
- The college has a vibrant environment and allows us to gain experience, learn and make networks.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is a little old owing to the fact that the college is the oldest college of the Delhi University
- However the new building of the college is due to open soon as the construction is now over.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course can be made more practical based for the students, for which a new option of internships has also been introduced by the college in order to provide the students with more hands on experience. The curriculum is updated and the topics and materials are extremely helpful in creating a strong foundation for the children.
Fees and Financial Aid
The maximum fees as much as I know is 12000. The admission is now based on the scores obtained in CUET. However one can also apply through other means like sports quota and extra curricular activities quota. It also has seats reserved for SC, ST, OBC and a few others. The fees for my course is 10000. For applying through ECA you will need to ollow the specific criteras that are listed.
Campus Life
The Delhi University fests are worth the wait for all students, with number of various competitions and chance for them to rise and gain recogonition amon the societies of the other colleges. The societies of Zakir Husain Delhi college has gained recoginition among the other societies of various otehr colleges. It has a number of societies that are a must explore for all students
Admission
The admission process is now on the basis of the entrance exam CUET, that is to be given after the 12th board exams, Along with this the students have to fill the preferene according to their interests and the courses available. I had applied in few other colleges for Psychology and I am now pursuing Psychology along with Human resource management
Faculty
The students in honors course are around 60 overall, while those in BA Prog have around thirty students per class. The psychology faculty has some extremely knowledgeable and helpful teachers. While other courses also have a lot of good teacehers. The internals and assignments are given in order to assess the students, wheras the main examination take place every semester around December and June along with a decent amout of semester break after each exam. However now the admission is based on the marks that are obtained in CUET
