What Students Say

Likes

There are many things I liked. The educations system is so good . So good infrastructure . It has reached BITS PILANI LEVEL as said by our owner sir prof Satyajeet Chakraborty also known as Alex Chakraborty . The basketball court is alos lit .
We also liked varioud projects been made by us and our teachers together . They helped us in all aspect . The canteen is also good . There are ac in many rooms and the other rooms will also get soon hopefully .
Teachers help us a lot in academics and clear our doubts . The question paper level is moderate . The teaching pattern is lucid and very easy . Students are bright and teachers are IIT faculty who are greatly experienced.

Dislikes

I don't like the uniform which has been given by our college . It gives us a vibe about we are in school . Many other college students mock us for this and this can be changed . It would be better and the uniforms are long and thick .
The infrastructure although good is not of the level os IIT and NITs . It can be made way more better and it is being made way more better by our sir prof Satyajeet Chakraborty also known as Sir Alex Chakraborty .
We also don't have a large play ground where we can play football . We have to play in nearby turf which costs us money . Hopefully this issues will be resolved in the future which will make our college the best .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is of the level of IITs and NITs . Very modernized yet traditional concepts . Our teachers make it look very easy as they explain us in lucid way . We are never overburdened and are always in good mental health.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunities in our college . From 1 lakh to 10 lakh for students from poor background. It would be better to know about the exact opportunities of internship directly from the college .

Placement Experience

There is a 100% placement record in our college . The average placement is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annum . Our college prepares us for industries and placemnents in a very dilligent manner . Our college is among the best in terms of placement .

Fees and Financial Aid

75000 per semester . Scholarship upto 1 lakh is provided . However now the fees has been increased . It became 85000 from 75000 and then 95000 . Currently it is 105000 . But it's good considering the quality of education . About scholarships there are many schemes . The common one is 1 lakh rupee scholarship .

Campus Life

Made a lot of friends . Teachers are so kind and helpful . Hostelers and pg stayers are happy . We work a lot in IDC lab . Overall the environment is very good and positive . Our college is also anti ragging .

Admission

It is the best private college in West Bengal and the third best engineering college according to the NIRF rankings . I also compared it with techno and heritage but I think it is superior than those colleges .

Faculty

The faculty memebers are really very helpful and kind . They help us in any matters related to studies and projects . They also give us treats if we perform well in exams . They care for us like our own parents .

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
