Likes
- You can enter in college campus at any time as if you want to attend classes after break due to some reason.
- College library is quite good place for study. E Library is also provided. On workings days it remains open till 8 pm and on Saturday the college is off but the library opens till mid day!
- For the placement, interview practice psychology class also done in the first year class. That provide some confident how and what we have to speak.
Dislikes
- Sometimes faculty member not much supporting attendance is compulsory.
- Not much self exploration clubs are there but some are dead
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is good as it is teach the information technology things to grow up in IT sector. Coding field, web technology curriculum are also good. Curriculum of software engineering give somehow idea of how to start or prepare som idea The areas for improvements in teaching method; Use the English language more(sometime bengali language used more as students from bihar, Jharkhand and up also there) Exams are frequently changing from last three year. Firstly four class tests and exam! Then it comes to 4 surprise class test and exam now it changed to three class test one mid sem and exam!
Placement Experience
From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placenents . Tcs, wipro, cognizant, cozeva, ey, and many company visit our college . They offer different palcemt offer Highest on campus is 16 lakh. And average is alound 4.5l My plans after getting the degree is to get job as software developer in any good company
Fees and Financial Aid
Heritage Institute of technology is one of the best private college in West Bengal regarding placement also! Fee structure: For 1st year 72000+44100 2nd year : 45100+45100 3rd year: 46200+46200 4th year: 47300+47300 But nowadays the fee structure is changed as the guidelines of Makaut, the fee structure increased in some respective and it goes from approx 4 lakh to approx 5.5 lakh. Scholarship: There is tfw students who only fee examination fee and relaxation of tution fee. And some state scholarship also used by some students (Only for West Bengal students) Placement : Placement is good enough as per the fee structure. Core companies also visited recently. IT placements is better! 4.5 lpa is average but highest goes to more previous year the highest is around 12 lpa from the campus selection! Regarding to over all experience if you are a good student then it is good for study.
Campus Life
College organise seminar quiz and debate. The books and journals regarding the engineering sector are in large amount. The class room has white board, green board and a projector. Cricekt, basketball, volleyball and archery game are there for the college student along with indoor slorts like table tennis. During the sports week football and some athelete game were seen! College also go for intercollege competition in cricekt and basketball. There are clubs for coding, photography, drama, dance, literature, singing , fashion and more.
Admission
Admission process: There is three way of getting admission in this college. Wbjee exam: west bengal joint entrance exam confuctes by state government and it has maximum seat for the college selection. You have to secure good rank to get this college. Application form start in the last december and exam will happened in april. Apllication fee is rs 500 . Wbjee exam is easier than jee but some question is in the level of jee advance. Overall getting admission from wbjee is easier than jee. Jee exam: it also accept jee result for the admission Management quota : some seats are also reserved for the management quota.
Faculty
The all faculty members are masters. Some proffesors who taught me is from Calcutta university student and some are from jadhavpur university. Some faculty memebers are phd holder in their respective field. The faculty-to-student ration is good in my department we have approx 10 faculty member. And in our year approx students are 60 to 65. The faculty approach for mentoring is good as mentors are good if you are going to ask them. For theory interaction can be done in class or you can also interact by oneself . During lab. There is lab assistant member.
