Course Curriculum Overview

4

As the college is under the university of Calcutta all the curriculum is decided by the university and it is said by all students that Calcutta University never gives you the marks you deserve it's very difficult to get marks in any subject specially in hons paper but it's quite good in general papers because it's a cbcs system basically MCQ and hence the university 'll give you full of surprises.. But yeah the course are moderate to hard so it 'll make you ready for difficult situations.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

As I don't know much about internship in our college, but it's a basically about the placement and where you got the placement one of my friend got chance in TCS where he got 2.5 lpa as a fresher which is quite okay to say..

Placement Experience

3

After 4th semester like mid 5th semester the companies comes for the placement various companies like TCS, Deloitte, Wipro, ITC , HDFC bank.. they take interviews and some of them take exams after which they offer placement, average package would be 350000 and highest package would be 1500000.. In around 100 students 15-20 are get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it's govt college the course fee is below 10k in whole my 3 year course since I'm from reserved catagory but for general also it's below 10k which is a shock for me too. It gives you the best facilities under 10k which is commendable and also various scholarship are also provided by the college ..

Campus Life

4.5

The name of the college fest was Quest which is held for 3-4 days generally in oct or nov which contains various activities like face painting, singing, group, solo, duo dance, fashion show, and other artistic things other colleges also comes to participate and on the last night it's a DJ night which is waited by all the students .. Its also has a football team and a cricket team also it had various competitions like table tennis , carrom also

Admission

Generally they ask best of four subject which accumulates your overall percentage like best of four in class 12th the admission is based on your result.. the cutoff is released catagory wise since it's a govt college, like you have to get above 96 if you are in general, for OBC above 90, for sc above 85 and for st above 76 It releases a number waiting list too You can directly go the official website of the college to apply for the admission everything is done online, you have to visit the website regularly because it releases the merit list and if you are in merit list the notice will be issued to visit the college for documentation and verification. it has a swift process no hassle.

Faculty

4

it has 4 section and each section had approx 80-90 students hence, They have quite a number of faculty which helped us to interact with professor with no hesitation some classes are enjoyable while some were boring and yeah it depends on person to person ,and they give good suggestions and mentorship before placement which helped me to decide what to choose..

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average
