Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum at Mithibai is something that set it apart from other colleges and for me the part where the curriculum focusses on industrial visits and practices in the real job environment matter the most. Mithibai prepares its students well for the industry since the exposure at Mithibai includes guest lecture by industry experts. The only area of inporvement I feel is that the curriculum should provide better optional subjects and electives for student. The timings of exam ranges between 1-2 weeks after 3 months of semester starting. The exams are fairly easy and can be tackled well with the provided material.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are a lot of companies that provide internships such as morgan stanley, grand thorton, accenture, etc in roles like analysts. The projects provide students with ample opportunities and projects to get hand on industry experience.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become eligible for campus placements by 6th semester but are also provided campus internships by 4th semester. Highest package provided by the companies is around 1200000 per annum. Around 70% students get placed and a lot of students opt for higher studies. My plans after getting degree are working at an investment bank for 3 years then doing mba.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee at Mithibai is very nominal for my course BMS the annual fee is ?45000 and there is no hike in fees this includes complete cost of education. There are no specific scholarships and grants available for students since the fees is minimal in itself. I currently have not undertaken any such activities related to placement but will be applying for them in future.

Campus Life

4

The annual festival is called Kshitij which is one of the biggest cultural festivals in Mumbai and India. The library is heavily equipped with books from every genre and every student can use their id cards to issue those books. Classes are heavily equipped with smart boards and air conditioners making the environment fun and comfortable. Though there are no grounds the college has official sports teams and load of extra curriculars like departmental fests to make the life interesting.

Admission

To be eligible for the course either you had to give cuet or cet but now only cet maharshtra is valid for Mithibai BMS. The application process starts through the portal where you have to upload your scores and an admission form comes through email which you have to submit. The only areas for provement I feel are that the documentation process is a bit confusing and it should be made a bit lax.

Faculty

5

Faculty at Mithibai is exceptional, they are updated about all major happenings and updates on their respective subjects. The professors foster project based learning and promote practical teaching and do not promote rote learning. There are around 70 teachers who look after 300 plus students so the student to teacher ratio is somewhat around 1:5. Approachibility to faculty is a topic every student at Mithibai shares their opinion on. The faculty acts in a warm manner and is available to solve any doubts and issues of their students.

Other Applied Colleges

Shyam Lal College - [SLC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

I didnt opt for Shyam Lal because I felt Mithibai is a far better option due to its brand value.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.
