Likes
- The college is a good government college in West Bengal. It provides with most of the opportunities for any student.
- The faculty is good and the study environment is also good. One can get help from teachers and seniors for any purpose.
- The environment for Co-curriculum activities is also very good. There are many groups in the college. One can actively participate in any field one likes.
Dislikes
- Placement is not so good which I think needs improvement.
- The campus is very large but the infrastructure is old. The campus is not well managed.
- Opportunities for interships is not so good. One has to find it by oneself.
Course Curriculum Overview
The couse I have taken is a good one and the faculty members also support us in every possible way to have a hood hold on the subjects. The exams are based on Makaut which provides a standard paper for evolution.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are not so good but it provides an average package of 5lpa. Lowest being 3 lpa. Highest is 45lpa which is off campus. Maximum students get placed and many students opt for higher studies. Companies like HCL, TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS and many more companies arrive( mainly IT companies) The placement of core department is not so good. The students in vore department either opt for higher studies or get into IT job.

Campus Life
Annual fest: espektro Every hostel has hostel days fest Central library is good with over 18000 books Infrastructure is not so good because it is a government college Campus life is good and there are many social and tech groups and clubs. There are many extra curricular activities available.
Hostel Facilities
There are five hostels 4 for boys and 1 for girls Hostels are not so good but the fees is only 2000 per month ( food included). U have to apply for hostel during admission time. The hostels are in the college premises only except the first year hostel which is 3km away for anti- ragging issues. Many people take pg which costs around 6000rs per month near ITI more Kalyani
Admission
To be domiciled in West Bengal Have to get a good rank in WBJEE Get all details at WBJEE website Reservation is available for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B There are three rounds of admission and for that u have to participate in wbjee e-counselling
Faculty
Faculty is good enough in this college. They help the students in every possible way. The faculty to student ratio is 1:12. All the HODs are phd holders and have good experience. They treat the students nicely. They try to interact with the students as much as possible. Someone who is interested for any research will get a good mentorship from the faculty members.
