The course structure is well organised and allows the students to take papers of their interests in 3rd sem. The project work is of 1 yr which allows the students to intercept more and have a good knowledge about lab. The thesis is also published in reputed journals. The smart boards help to learn more effectively

Internships Opportunities

There are no company placements in such in the campus. The departments primarily focus on research. Btech and mtech in computer science is the recently opened course. The university conducts internship and hand on training for various departments. There are several projects running on under different faculties. There are regular lecture and workshops and conference.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is very similar to any reputed institution. 40000 per semester is the tuition fees. 4800 per semester for the hostel. And mess foods ranges according to the number of days the food is taken. The university also provides scholarship based on the entrance examination. Also provides scholarship to the financilly challened students.

Campus Life

There are DJ parties once in week or two. There are several occasions celebrated for different religions culture. Being an international University, all the culture from different countries to states are celebrated and given equal importance. There are sports room fot table tennis, carrom, chess. There is field for Cricket, football, volleyball. Cricket tournaments are held. Sport festival are lehd once a year having football cricket volleyball chess carrom tt running marathon and many more. Culture clubs such as book club photography club

Admission

The entrance examination for admission is moderate. The cutoff is 50-60% ranging according to the marks obtained. There is no reservation benefits and is purely merit based. The examination is held once in an year for both mastes and phd. The details is provided in the website of SAU. Also can be mailed to called to the office for more information.

Faculty

The faculty to students ratio is almost 1:4 which makes the learning very efficient. The faculties are well established and highly qualified. Doubts are solved instantly and always available for the students.

Placement Experience:

Yes there is a placement cell here. 2nd year students eligible for campus placement company started visiting campus for placement after one month of 2nd year started . Here company came for mostly 3 roles Data analyst, Data scientist and Subject matter expert. Companies like United Airlines, United Healthcare Optum, Cognitio analytics, Courseleap, transOrg analytics etc visited campus and the package they offer depends on company standards it vary from 5 lpa to 20 lpa . Avg package is around 9 lpa and highest package is offered 20 lpa for Data science role. About 20 to 30 percent of students are getting placed mostly are chosen for higher studies like phd . My plan is definitely going to cooperate industry for data analyst role

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.

Placement Experience:

Placements occur in two phases first in 3rd semester for Phase 1 and then Phase 2 in 4th semester. Percentage of people placed is low but the package and companies they got is excellent. The packages offered from 7.5 LPA to as high as 26 LPA. A lot of big companies visit the campus.

Basically I choose this course because I am interested to study on environment. Again now a days the field in related to environment like disaster management, climate change etc. Facalty is available for the student and they are ready to help students any time. Ratio is correctly not known but I can say that it's good. Facalty is highly educated with PhD holder and other high qualified. Teaching method is basically online distance mode. They provides notes in pdf formate and through video classes. Offline books are provided through postal address. Study materials are easily available on the official website and different application of the official. Exams are conducted as both semester and yearly method. In my course it's semester system and it held timely. Exams are not so tough not too easy.

Remarks:

JNU is one top ranking university. Here the faculties are best and education level and standard are great. You learn and explore so many things beyond your studies also. The best of JNU is, here the peoples (prof., Students and other staff members) are very helpful and encouraging.
