Course Curriculum Overview
I will speak for the department of social sciences as I am a student there. After JNU, I would say there is no other place to pursue IR than SAU. The curriculum remains up to date and teachers for IR are all JNU PHDs or Foreign PHDs. They pay good salaries to teachers and hence retain the best.
Placement Experience
I don't have much knowledge about placement. Although sone of my friends from Chinese and German studies were get a chance to find their suitable jobs in Amazon company.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is subsidized by eight governments namely India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives. The fee is 2 lakh rupees for whole PG. For students outside of NCR free hostels are available. Books are subsidized and many research portals are accessible to students for free.
Campus Life
The permanent campus is under construction, and it is located at Maidangarhi. The temporary campus is located at Chanakyapuri. It is a multi-storey fully air-conditioned building. The college provides the Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms are well-equipped, and they use projectors to teach.
Admission
The forms for the annual entrance exam for each PG course are released online at February or March. You have to fill in the form online and pay the fees. You will get an admit card soon followed by an entrance test . Give the entrance test and get selected.
Faculty
South Asian University has great and experienced teachers with good profiles. All of them have their work published in renowned journals. The teachers are always very helpful and can be approached. Very relevant course curriculum. The teaching quality is really very good.
