I had given JEE exam, in which I got 1.59 lakh rank. So, I had the option to take admission in IPU colleges. Branches like ECE, IT, and Mechanical were available for me. But as we all know, fees of IPU colleges are somewhat high. And, I was not that dedicated to do Engineering. So, I thought it would be a wastage of my parents' money to spend on a course which I'm not interested in. Meanwhile, DU cutoffs got released. As I had 91.4% in CBSE, so I thought it would be wise to apply for my field-related courses in DU. Not to forget, I'm from General Category. Till 5th cutoff, I was getting B.Sc. Mathematics Hons in many colleges as in that course, I had 93% best-4 percentage. But I wanted B.Sc. Computer Science, in which I had 91.5% best-4 percentage. It was getting hard to take that course. The minimum mark required for an obc student is 88% as I have taken admission in 2 cutoffs with 91%. Upto now the classes are online but teachers are supportive and there are various societies such as NCC, NSS and there is a separate placement cell and there are various computer socities also. College InfrastructureInfrastructure is amazing. College ground is very big. It also has a coke station which is similar to a ground and is beautiful. There are two canteens in this college and both are cheap and affordable. Many sports are ppayed here. Campus is great.AcademicsTeachers are very excellent here. I think the college is very nice and is much better than I thought. The admission process was very easy as we just have to log in to the portal, select the college and course and then apply for it. After that the college reverts after seeing my application within 2 days and after I have to submit the fees within the stipulated time. Apart from PGDAV, I was getting admission in Deshbandhu and Sri Aurobindo College too but after comparing I found that. This college is much better in overall aspects such as societies, sports and placements. And this college is also having a great football team. And I also wanna join it too as I have a great interest in football too. So that was also a reason for choosing this college. The college here are very nice and the crowd here is very much diverse. Goods aspects of PGDAV college would be well connected with public transport, apparently the biggest canteen of DU with good quality food at nominal rates, decent teaching faculty, a big fully air conditioned seminar Hall, All kind of sports facility along with a big playground, Computer lab, Library, well established college societies, Clubs to explore extracurricular activities and Placement cell with lots of career opportunities. Bad aspects would be not so well developed infrastructure (under construction), bad reputation because of politics during elections and a bit cheap crowd in few courses. The non-teaching staff is rude. The admission process is smooth and the faculty is cooperative you just need to be well prepared with required documents and admission dates. The reason for joining this college might be if you're not getting any good south or north campus college then you may consider PGDAV. It's better than many off-campus and evening DU colleges.
