I was very good in Mathematics since my childhood..After getting pass in Madhymik Exam I decided ,I will study in mathematics after Higher secondary.My decision was right.The Curriculum activities of my college was very good..Every year a curriculum was organized.Teaching methods were very good..

Class Size: 130Course Fees: INR 1600 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Though it was a government college..That's why the college fees was low compare to others college in kolkata.similarly the tution fees,service fees and the other charges were very low.There were many scholarships in my college

Campus Life

Earlier I mentioned every year different type of cultural program was organized by college.I attended twice in this festivals..There were lot of talent.every year sports tournament was arranged by the college..

Admission

Minimum 60 percentage in subjects..this was the eligibility of admission in this college.The application form got the official website from this college.There were very good administrative people .That's why no improvement was needed in admission process

The Faculty members were very good.There were 5 faculty members in our department.There were four subjects in our syllabus at every year..The faculty members were very passionate at their subjects..I learnt a lot from them.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

All about my College

College is really close to railway station (2.2 km from Bidhannagar Junction), Low cost of fees, Good academics, Spacious, Green, Quiet environment ideal for studying. Only bad thing(according to my opinion) is the teachers are really strict. We can't bunk classes. We enter the college 10. 15 AM and leave at 4. 15PM. Sometimes this can be frustrating....Read More
