Course Curriculum Overview
The major aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is that I'm very interested in commerce. That's why I chose bcom for my bachelors degree. It gives me a lot of knowledge and helps my skills to improve in this subject. The curriculum prepares the students in different ways of the commerce industries, whether it should be the tax department cost department accounts department and various job roles are also there. I would suggest the staffs to provide some kind of practical trainings to the students for which they can learn and understand the things which are going in the Market. I don't think that the frequency and timing of exams is an issue. Ofcourse, all college have their rights to conduct their exams in their own way. That's what make colleges different from others
Internships Opportunities
The companies like tcs, Amazon, Flipkart and many other companies offer job internships to the students with an average stipend. I had personally not attend any one of these so I'm unable to provide information regarding the projects.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college in which I'm studying is a government college and in whole kolkata I don't think that any college will take the fees like Jaipuria takes. It's the best college with a average fees applicable. I have pursued bcom hons in this college and I only pay around 6k per year as my college fees. Instead of this, the college also gives the schlorship which is collaborated with the government of west Bengal (swami vivekananda schlorship). For applying to this schlorship students must have to score 60-75% in their 12th or equivalent.
Campus Life
The college provides a freshers party known as AU revoir which happens every year for the new students. The library is also well equipped with different kinds of books and materials and the range of the books are quite minimal. You can get easily the books which you wanted. The facilities and technological provisions within the classrooms are not so good and they are also not cleaned enough. The college sometimes provide the sports and extracurricular activities as it is not a regular thing in the college. Also, there is also a gym room in the college for the students. The gym is offered in different timings according to different shifts.
Admission
The Jaipuria college is renowned for its excellence in education. So, it's a common thing that the students need a very good marks and score around 90% to get eligible for the admission in this college. The applicable form is issued online around the mid of August to October.
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio in per classes were 50 or 60:1. The faculties are very supportive. They are very friendly nature and also very helpful. The faculty's credentials and their approach to teaching and mentorship helps the students to gain a lot of knowledge in their studies. I personally interact with the teachers and co operate with them in everytime when I needed.
