What Students Say

Likes

Seniors are friendly and very helpful. They will interact with you and wont act rudely with you.
Teachers and faculty are Helpful and are very cool and teach in a way that interest students.
Security guards and other personnel will not shy away to help you or push you away and help you during any crisis.

Dislikes

The gymnasium is not well maintained and is often closed.
There is irregularity of classes with classes often being cancelled at a very short notice..
College washrooms are quite dirty and not maintained at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

I found the economics curriculum pretty interesting which led me to choose this course as it will help me gain knowledge and prepare me on how the economy of my country and the entire world changes at any point and how its Improving or degrading depending on the situation. The timings of exams is okay and its manageable.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 25600 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The Admission fees is ?3580 and the Total course fees over the range of 4 years amounts to ?25600. For other categories, fees has been the same and for people who took admission later through standalone process had to pay around ?19000.

Campus Life

Every december, A Grand freshers takes place and Also they take students to trips during october months. The library has a wide range of books to help the students for studies. Annual sports and other sports tournaments often take place.

Admission

I applied to other colleges such as Goenka college of commerce, scottish church, maulana azad, and city college but I chose this college because its closer to my home and also it has a pretty good reputation over the curriculum i had chosen. Some colleges i didnt choose and some had higher criteria over what I had so i was rejected from those. The admission process of my college has no exam and is based on the amount of marks you achieve during your 12th grade board exams

Faculty

In our course, the faculty-student ratio is around 10:46. The faculty to student relationship is pretty good with the teachers always ready to help the students and interacts with us pretty well. I liked Our HOD Jaydip Sir for his interaction with us and also Gargi Mam who maintains discipline in her class and is also very friendly. There are two semesters in each years with every semester consisting of 8 subject exams. The courses are tough and many students often struggle.

Interview Experience

No i didnt face any group discussion, Interview or Written Test of any sort for the admission in this college because it requires your boards percentage and calculates merit marks based on the stream you chose and the marks you got in boards

1.The faculties of modern physics and computational physics were exceptional and in my opinion the best in the city. 2.Since i was more inclined towards modern physics i chose this particular college. 3.The curriculam prepares the students for higher studies like masters and doctorate. 4.The frequency and timing of exam coincided with calcutta university. 5.Areas of improvement-Better Equipment for Optics lab and more digital equipments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

Students get placement offers in the first year of M.Stat. In general, however, most students prefer to go abroad for higher studies. Students who sit for placements mostly get placed in Finance and Analytics companies, typically in Business Analyst, Risk Analyst and other roles. SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

There was only 3 better colleges I couldn't apply to. They were St.Xaviers Kolkata, Goenka and Maulana Azad. Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is among the top 5 colleges and is well known. It is also the best college in North Kolkata, some might not agree to me though. The deciding factors for me were very low fees, decent quality teachers, and the most important, quality of crowd and reputation of the college.
