If You choose to pursue degree in agriculture, you should go for Assam Agricultural University

As the university is the only state agriculture University in the state of Assam, it holds a very impactable position in the state as well as in the country. For the betterment of the agriculture and allied sectors the university plays an important role in the state. Various research centres under the university providing services to the field of Agriculture and allied sectors. The academic curriculum is followed as per the instructions or guidelines provided by the ICAR. University is not only sticked to the theoretical part they focuses well on the research for the post graduate students.

Various companies like IFFCO, Dhanuka Agro tech, Godrej Agrovet companies are associated with the university for providing internship as well as placement to the graduate. RAWE under Student READY programme is a key for the students to understand the real Agricultural problems faced by farmers.

Different companies are associated with the university for providing placement to the graduate. They also provide support to the Government exams candidates. Minimum package of approx 3 lakh for the freshers

Addmission is taken semester wise where every year the addmission fee changes. Currently it is Approx 18000 rupees per year including hostel. Mess Fee should be provided separately. State merit scholarship is available provided by the state government along with the National Scholarship

Various annual festival is conducted in the university which provides a plateform to interested ones. There is a central library with thousands of books provided the facilities to the learners. Fully digital classroom are available

Hostels infrastructure should be taken to consideration by the authorities. Hostel conditions is not upto marks. It should be repaired or replaced by new ones. Water quality is not good here in the city

Eligibility of the course: B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture Details of the course can be found in University website which is www.aau.ac.in For addmission into the different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, score obtained in examination conducted by NTA in the relevant field is considered. However, University itself conduct an entrance examination namely Common Entrance Test (CET) for both UG and PG courses. Difficulty level of the exam is moderate.
