Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chooses agriculture bcz it's a technical degree and has value ...cuz assam is known for its agriculture and tea so i choosed this course cuz atleast I will get a job cuz assam has a strong agriculture background...also it's a practical degree ...it'all application based.like we learned how to prepare mushroom how to do bagging ...also we have tea factory of our own college ..we can study about tea and do tea business..also from 2nd year we will learn enterpreneurship and buisness so after completion our course we can do our own business also there are placement cell and one cell of teachers where they prepare us for competitive exams ...

Internships Opportunities

5

Aisa app already discussed there is 100% internship in our college it may be of many sector we have to just choose for example in agriculture mushroom production is there by fertilizer by pesticides soil tea husband and agronomy ... So roles are assigned accordingly to sector as I am Just in first year I don't have any idea regarding the projects and outcomes to clarify the task

Placement Experience

3

As I m just in 1st year I have little idea ..the highest package is 12lpa and one thing is 100% intership is there ... amul, punjab national bank , federal Bank, seed companies and many more visits for on campus placement avg may be 3-4 if here is no placement in ug ..many of us will do msc or prepare for competitive exam like nabard and Ado .. placement start form 4th year .. overall 70-80% placement ratio

Fees and Financial Aid

I am bsc agri ,At first I paid 36000 for one semester as it also includes admission fees after that 22000 ... For bsc agriculture.....btw for btech in microbiology it costs 50k at 1st time then 36000... scholarship are also provided per month 2000 if we get 8cgpa at end term exam ..there is no fees relaxation for reserved students only seats are reserved...

Campus Life

5

Many events get organized in this college like Diwali night new year party freshers almost every competitive exams books and regarding our course book are present in the library Wi-Fi is also there in our library facilities are to be honest top notch the classrooms are to be honest very well developed there is one smart board one white board one projector AC sir also there in our classroom as I am the member of NSS many events are done here for example 2 days ago we went to a government school to motivate the students about women empowerment and modern techniques of agriculture to follow which is a very great initiative from our college also there is a gym in our college there is boating in our college elections are also held in our college sports is also good there are three fields are there basketball ground is also there football ground is also there cricket stadium is also there and volleyball court is also present

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are made as I already mentioned our bathroom is very dirty but food is 10 out of 9 at morning we get Roti or Puri with chana sabji and afternoon lunch we always get veg and at dinner in a week two days chicken two days egg one day veg and two days fish.. the monthly mess is 2500 there is 1 km far there is a PG if anyone want to leave their they can go and stay in the PG .. in the hostel only 1st year are there and in one room three students stay

Admission

I chooses this college because it's in my home state and its best college for agriculture in entire northeast and it's ranking is also good in all over India ..i just applied for this college ..to get admission in this college we have to give one state level college entrance test to get addmission and another is cuet icar for the students from other states other than assam ..for assam the exam name is aau cet ..min eligibility is 60% in class 12 and must be citizen of assam to give aau cet cutoff depends on course to course... by this exam aau cet we can opt for veterinary, fishery, agriculture, community science, food and nutrition.. admission is granted according to our rank

Faculty

4

Total there is 172 student in bsc agriculture divided into 2 section i.e 86 each section and 172 student are divided into 5 group...so in practical classes 30 students each group and in theory 86 (one section) we are mainly focused in practical classes so less students for practical and one teacher assigned..there are one faculty I don't like i don't wanna reveal his name ???? but he is very annoying just asking questions and roasts...yesterday he roasted me ????.. There are 2 exams conducted mid term and end term between this one practical exam and quiz are held ..exams are little easy only know about quiz cuz my end term has not started year ...and mid term will not occur bcz in 1st year due to coming of cuet icar students our mid term don't occur ...so basically i gave only one quiz ..which result has not been declared yet.....about students who are able to pass or fail i don't know .. although there are very few students who studies in hostel ???????????? so basically we will suffer passing the exams ...course curriculum is decided and governed by icar syallabus is up to the point

Interview Experience

5

No there was no interview taken regarding our admission in our college normal counselling was done.. in counselling our documents were verified by the professors after the counselling we have to pay the admission fees

Night Life

5

Typically our class starts from 8:00 a.m. and it and at 5pm I go to the gym at 5:30 the gym is very well developed to be honest all machines are there cafeteria are also present there two cafeteria are present library is also there the campus is huge there is many tea garden also present many agricultural fields but the entering time in hostel is very strict we have to be in the hostel sharp at 6:00 p.m. the famous hangout places inside college is the Boating place there is also a very big lake and outside the campus there is town where we use to go and watch movies a famous outside campus building is biponi

The new syllabus under new education policy is better which focuses on practicality.but the old one in which we are enrolled is more focused on theoretical aspects rather than practicality. Students start studying before 2 days of exam and forgot everything after exams ...its like parrot learning , which do not teach anything in reality .
