Remarks

Every Student must try and be a part of the Christ experience. It is fantabulous how every student loves being a part of this wonderful institution more than they could love anything else.

Entrance Preview

I am a student who has lived and grown up in Kolkata. I personally wanted to move out of the city because wonderful opportunities lay outside. I chose Christ. This was one of the best decisions I had taken in my life. A distant cousin told me about his journey at Christ and once I heard that,I had made up my mind that I should be studying here. It is truly a great decision taken!

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Our course and curriculum is filled with extensive activities for the overall development of a student. Ranging from sports to MUN activities, business Fests and the musical, dance and theatre Fests. This is a brilliant opportunity for every youngster to experience this journey.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does not provide internship. However, there is the placement cell which can be approached for further details. However, the college name aids each student to get an internship at a company of their desire.

Placement Experience

5

Placements and job opportunities are brilliant at our University. I am in my final year and there have already been around 30 companies which have come, recruited and gone in the odd semester. There are a huge number of companies yet to come in the the even semester. Companies like Delloite, Kpmg, PWC, EY, Amazon, JP Morgan, McKinsey and Company, Deshaw, Accenture and it's likes come.

College Events

5

There are numerous events which take place through out the year. There is never a time in campus where there are no events going on. The major events are Darpam, Blossoms, Inblooms, Dance Day, Theatre Day, Prayas ,Espirit, Congito. Every student has an opportunity Excel here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is moderate. I had paid 95000 in my joining year, 65000 in my second year, and 86000 in my final year. Although it is a bit on the expensive end for a BCOM graduation, I believe the opportunities provided made the money worth while.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, there are exchange programmes in our University where the fees is subject to scholarship. Every student can also apply for scholarship on the basis of the various departments they excel in.

Campus Life

5

Geneder Ratio is equal. Girls and boys have a lot of interactions and they mix with a very positive vibes. There are a lot of opportunities for students to socialise in various departmental and University activities. Every day at Christ University is a celebration of something or the other.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 2 student Halls. One for girls and the other for boys. However there are not many students living there because of the stringent restrictions enabled. Students mostly stay in the paying guest accommodations around the campus. All the PG Accommodations are up to the mark.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a wonderful network of alumni. The alumni website has alums posting various jobs and provides chances to recent pass outs. There is wonderful interaction between the students and the experienced alumnus.

Exam Structure

All courses are divided into 6 semesters, which is 2 per year. There are 4 exams per semester. There are two Continuous Internal Assessments. There are also the mid semesters and the final semester exams. The two CIAs are of 20 marks each, the mid semesters are of 50 marks and the end semesters are of 100 marks.

Admission

There was a selection test. Aptitude Test - Basic Maths, English, General Knowledge English Test - Essay Writing Personal Interview - Extensive Interview. In this interview, I was asked about how I heard about Christ, the reason why I wanted to join Christ. They made sure I was worth the Christ Experience.

Faculty

4

Faculty at our University is commendable. There is always a mix of good and bad teachers in every University. But however, there is more of good teachers then average at this University. Faculty take great care of the students here and maintain a personal relationship with each of them.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
