Remarks

My college is one good professional College being run in the city since years. May they continue the good work as they are now.

Entrance Preview

Because it falls into a renowned University, Panjab University. Moreover, I didn't want to go far away from my home. THE COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY LIFE OVER Is one of its kind... The college is quite renowned one in the city and also it is known for its great professional skill teaching. The faculty over here is excellent. The infrastructure is worth it and also the fee is not too costly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course I am pursuing over is biotechnology. I really was confused in the beginning but later on, found it to be quite interesting. Now i. Am in 3rd year. Just one more year left for me to graduate. I really have now gathered interest and am thinking to pursue masters from this college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they do provide internships to us when we enter the 8th semester of our courses. They also arranged a placement drive in the 5th sem so that we can get internships later on in good companies. A general stipend is 8k-20k ?

Placement Experience

4

Job opportunities are good. Good companies come over here every year to recruit deserving candidates and offer good annual packages. The placement is done on the basis of personal interview and some academics criteria which must be fulfilled by the student in order to appear.

College Events

5

All the events and festivals are Celebrated in our college. The college also has its own cultural know by the name of GOONG. it is held every year. Student organizes the fest in a very good way so that both faculty and students can enjoy it. Also, celebrity singer is called to organize star night.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure cannot be said to be feasible or expansive. It is somewhere in between. If comparing to the fee structure with other professional colleges or private engineering colleges our college fees is quite low.. But if compared to other departments of university it is the bit on the expansive side.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes my college does offer scholarships of different amount to the students who belong to religions of minorities. Also to single girl child.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio in our university is 70: 30, girls to boys..the gender ratio in our college is almost 60: 40, boys to girls. The campus life is amazing and interesting throughout the year. Lab facilities are excellent. Debates and cOmpetitions are organized from time to time.

Hostel Facilities

4

As I m not a hostel student so I have no idea about the hostel facilities. But I have tried the mess food a couple of time, it is excellent and also worth for the amount of money they charge. The hostel building has general facilities like barber, laundry, tailor etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior stydents have always been great. I know several of them. And a few are even in my touch till now who passed 2 3 years back. They are great gems produced by this college.

Exam Structure

We have the total assessment of 150 marks for each subject. 50 marks from which comprise of practicals. Rest 100 marks are on a theoretical basis. 50 marks for the end semester final examination held at end of each semester. 30 marks for mid sem sessional exams and rest 20 for internal assessments.

Admission

At first, I gave my class 12th exams in March 2016. Then after a month, I appeared for JEE mains exam in April. Then I waited for both the results. My class 12th result got announced in may 2016. Followed by jee mains marks. I didn't clear the cut off marks to appear for jee advanced but cleared the criteria to apply for the three colleges in my city. I applied online and after some time a merit list was prepared on basis of both jee mains marks and class 12th marks. I managed to get into a seat in the first 3 round of counseling and was called in the first week of August for admission confirmation followed by classes after a couple of days.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is excellent and quite knowledgable. They provide us with valuable information about academics as well as future options from time to time. They are very supportive and show keen intrest in spreading knowledge about the concerned subject to us.

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)
