Dislikes
- Placements for English can be considered bad.
- There exists a LOT of confusion and chaos among students as some concepts and chapters won’t be dealt with.
- Faculty usually go out of the subject matter and bring politics and their personal opinions and try to imbibe into students, intentionally and evitable(y).
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a very holistic course. You would be taught not only English as a language for daily verbal communication, but seemingly as a way of life and living. If you are a triple major or dual major student, the concepts you'd learn in English would definitely help in your other subject and therefore fetch you better grades!
Placement Experience
There is a fully functioning placement cell in the university. 200+ companies do visit, but many students sure do go empty handed. Placement guarantee depends on the stream. Commerce streams are more likely to be selected rather than English, Journalism students. Placement officers make a genuine effort.
Fees and Financial Aid
It depends. I paid 85000 per year for a BA in Media, English and Psychology. Every year they do increase the fee a bit. 2 kinds of scholarships exists. The meritorious scholarship and cocurricular scholarship. Esteemed Fathers are also known to help students with financial difficulties with aid and assistance. Placements are good. But it depends based on the departments.
Campus Life
CHRIST Central Campus is very pretty with luscious greens and iconic structures. Central Campus has an evergreen vibe and has something going on at all times! The classrooms are modern with modern technologies like smart board and presenters etc... The university is open to ANY NUMBER of clubs, fests, portals, etc... Library is open from 8 am to 9pm and is one of the best in town

You will have an entrance test and a personal interview. The process can be a bit tedious, but the brand name works for all. You need to have a minimum of 50% in your 12th grade to be eligible. Marks does matter. All the necessary details will be put up on the website. The process is easy. Fill in all the details (name, education, native, etc) and pay the admission fees. Entrance exams can be hard, based on departments again. Be on time because CHRIST won't be.
Faculty
CHRIST (Deemed to be University) has efficient and trained faculty with almost everyone having a PhD in the subject. There are more than enough faculty dealing with all the branches of literature and teaching is straightforward. Many professors are genuinely passionate and willing about teaching and put a genuine effort. Teachers of the English department are very jovial, chill and approachable.
