Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is challenging and best thing about this course is that you get chance to interact with Maximum number of teachers their experience which gave you a. Very unique experience in learning. If you are confuse that what you do in future than it is the best course for you because you have all lines in front of you and still can choose.

Placement Experience

4.5

I never tried to know about the placements in our college. However, I know that the placements have been decent in the last few years. I heard most of the seniors getting good placements. A lot of students get internships from college. The average salary package offered was around 6 LPA. No one has been placed yet from our batch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is economical and if we talk about facilities then it is the best which one can expect. Library of college is so good. In library you get almost not only all required book for studies but also some great novels like tolkein's novel and some rare book also. All rooms are fully AC which give you a very good experience of learning. Wi-fi of college is fine but with some restrictions. Like if you want to play game with college wi-fi then you need VPN and also slow at some places. Infrastructure of college is very magnificent and relaxing which gave you feeling of heaven.

Campus Life

There are more than 50 societies in the college and events occur almost regularly in the college. Many scholarships are provided by the college, out of about 420 admissions 100 students gets full tuition fee reimbursement. The curriculum of my course best as it starts from the fundamental and gets bigger slowly.

Admission

Present required documents, such as aadhar card, 10th marksheet, transfer Certificate, character Certificate, domicile Certificate, 12th marksheet and passport size photographs along with photocopies of each of the documents.

Faculty

4.5

If you looking for faculty then probably you find the best faculty of nation in this college. Our faculty is so impressive, dedicated, helpful and friendly that I can't explain. All faculty of college are very knowledgeable and hard working. Some of the teachers are so helpful that if you have any doubt at night you can also call him at night 10 p. m. and ask doubt very frankly.

Campus Life @ Central University of Karnataka

Likes

The campus was too good in its environment.
The exposure was too good with good library facilities.
We can socialise with Pan Indian exposure

Dislikes

Hostel facilities was not well maintained
Hostel food was not that much good sometimes
College was situated in a rural place, it was so hard to travel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English curriculum at the Central University of Karnataka is comprehensive and academically relevant. The course covers British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English, Literary Theory, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies, providing students with a strong foundation in language and literature. The interdisciplinary approach under NEP and the availability of electives were among the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course.

Why Azim Premji University?

Likes

The quality of teaching for my course - BA Economics (Hons) is exceptional. The professors give quality time with each student to ensure concepts are clear and go beyond the surface level teaching of all concepts.
Every student gets their own mentor, who is a professor within the University who will help you guide yourself through everything, ranging from academic difficulties to personal grievances. There are regular sessions scheduled with these mentors..
There is plenty of freedom in the university. Unlike other university's there is no strict dress code or unreasonable rules for the students to follow. The campus allows each indivitual to be true to themselves.

Dislikes

The campus is very far from the city, making it difficult to have any sort of weekend get aways to the city tiresome. There are very few places around the campus that will let you experience city life.
The university does not encourage competitive spirit festivals like youth festivals apart from sports. Hence narrowing down the avenues where students can get certificates for extra curriculars to add on to your CVs
Academic rigor can get too overwhelming sometimes and one may not get time to study for other parallel exams for masters like GMAT, CAT, GRE etc. Finding time for extra curriculars may also get difficult.

Placement Experience:

The university does have a placement team which faculy and student led. Studnets become eligible for placements towards the end of their fourth year - last semeter. Approximately 100-150 NGO's come to campus for recruiting. The university does not promote private firms for placement but students can apply indivitually. The average pay is 20 Lakh per year. Many students after undergraduation opt for higher studies, so is my plan. But most of the master's students opt for placement and 98% - 99% get placed into NGO in top positions. I plan to pursure a masters degree after my undergraduation, preferably in economics.

Insight into KJC by a real life student

Likes

The campus is a plus. It's really clean and green. They really take care of the cleanliness of the Campus. As for the girls to boys ratio, in my class there are more girls than boys. Idk much about college overall.
I like my professors a lot. But it's all about luck. I got nice ones.
We have LMS in college. So we are provided with notes and syllabus online that we can use anytime we want.

Dislikes

The administrative office is very annoying sometimes. Just to answer one question they send the students to different offices and waste our time.
I don't understand the dress code system. I mean it's good but girls are not allowed to wear long skirt. I'm not talking about short clothes. But even long skirts are not allowed.
I would say I dislike the locality sometimes. It's not that developed so there's always something kind of construction going on which causes a lot of pollution and breathing problem specially for me with breathing issues.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We get to learn many things not because of just the syllabus and courses but also because of the national and international conferences that are held in our college. People from other colleges come in and share their knowledge with us. This experience is really good for us students. We even have expert lectures from our alumnis who give us advice on what all is required in the world outside college to earn. All these are really helpful.
