Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Truly speaking I was a NEET aspirant and while preparing for the examination to get admission to the MBBS course, eventually I started having an interest in nursing. As NEET was not in my hand, I cracked the Gcet exam and entered GMCH in the course BSC NURSING 4YEARS. I chose this course as my cousin's sister influenced me to do so. I already believed that being a nurse and qualifying from this college would gain a good rapport and recognition in itself. Moreover, I would able to solve my parent's problems in the financial aspect as nursing is highly paid for in every government setting. A step forward toward my goals, GMCH COLLEGE OF NURSING has also supported me in improving my overall personality. I'm now competent enough to interact and stand for my rights which was made possible only by this college. They not only inculcate professional standards in a student but also dig into a person to unbox the qualities beneath one. The examinations held pretty moderate to solve.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

For internship we are provided by the gmch itself. We are being acted like a real time nursing officer in different wards like emergency, hdu, icu, labor rooms etc. We also need to submit our report and research on a specific topic of concern during our internship period.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am an OBC candidate but in our course there is no such reservation for obc students. But every year I would apply for the NSP scholarships where I have the privilege to seek a good amount of Peny through my course and category. But overall our institute doesn't provide any kind of schlorship. In Bsc nursing the total complete cost of 4 years is approx. 75k in annual system but it has been increased to double in semester system. We also get an stipend for the internship i.e 6 months after 4 years of course. The stipend overs the overall fee structure given in these 4 years.

Campus Life

3.5

We have one college fest, some parties in a year and also sports meets and other enjoyment programs to participate in. Library consists of variety of books including each and every year subject book and for leisure time novels, story books to read off

Admission

Eligibility 11 and 12th class with medical course in which 12th class more than 50% marks. Gcet examination marks ( it may vary according to the cutoff ) General category - 50 marks Sc/st - 40-45 marks Who to find application form - The form is available around June month on the official website of gmch, i.e. www.gmch.com/admission in paramedical courses Application fees is 2000 Frequency once in a year and timing of exam 2 hours with moderate difficulty

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is appropriate according to me with top nursing faculty as each subject is taught by 2 or more teachers. Our teachers have been always there for our mentorship even when a hand in when we have personal and professional issues.

Placement Experience:

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.
