Remarks

The main reason of joining this was the city Chandigarh. It's a very very beautiful city and worth living. Also the new building of the college is very good and equipped with all the latest technology and the labs are also well maintained. Although mess food is bit poor but overall hostels are good too.I read reviews on shiksha.com and all these reasons helped me choose this college.Main thing is the fest conducted by gmch. Unexplainable. The best experience of life .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is taught really well making our concepts strong. Faculty members are very learned and experienced. They use ppt to teach us and the ppts are well prepared. Maximum faculty are doctors or PhDs. You won't regret joining this college. There are good number of faculty members per student.

Placement Experience

The placement is through neet pg exam. Many students opt for usmle others go for indian pg.Package they get is very high as the reputation of the college is know by all.The standard of life is very good .

Fee Structure And Facilities

College fees is 24500/ annum Hostel fees is 13500/annum. Fees is very minimum since it's a govt college Also the stipend paid to the interns is very good as compared to other neighbouring colleges. It's 18000/month. Many seniors do usmle and others do indian pg.Both of them get good opportunity of research and other work .

Campus Life

The life is very very good as the city is very good and beautiful and worth living .Standard of living is very good and hygeinic.We have two fests in college one intercollege- euphoriaAnd one intracollege- plexus It's the best thing you will ever experience. The crowd and the noise everything is worth experiencing.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good but the food is average. We prefer ordering from swiggy. Although it's not so bad but u get bored after some time. Over-all experience in hostel is fabulous. The freedom u get and the interaction with seniors is all very good and healthy.

Admission

Yes there was a gd during admission ceremony and also a pi was conducted by the dp of the college.Although everything was chill still i felt a bit nervous while appearing before the dp.Admission ceremony was very good and informative .

First SEM Experience

Placement Experience:

Around 80-90% of the students get placed in my course. The average package is 3LPA - 5LPA. This college has a decent placement record. The highest package offered is 7.6LPA. Companies like Google , Deloitte , Amazon , Infosys , Wipro , etc. come to the campus to pick excellent students for their company. The college also has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to prepare for placements.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

There is a placement cell but I do not have much information about it, as my course does not offer any placements, but there are other courses such as BCA, BCom and BSc CS which offers placement, according to me it must be around 30k to 40k per month
