Course Curriculum Overview
I was always influenced to be a doctor since my childhood. Therefore i started preparing for my entrance exam that is NEET UG. But god's grace i cleared it on my first attempt. Since i was studying in chandigarh only, my dream college was always Gmch chandigarh.
Internships Opportunities
In medical college, we don't require placement. After completing 4 years of mbbs , we will do 365 days of internship in which we will get payment of 30000 per month. After that we will appear for NEET PG to select our specialisation.
Fees and Financial Aid
In our college, I being a general category pay 25000 annually. Other categories such as SC/ST pays 12500 and NRI pay the fees at once for 5 years and that sums upto 5 lakhs. Tutiton fees is of 14400. It varies year to year but the variation does not exceeds for more than 500.
Campus Life
As a medical student, they always a myth that medical students are nerd but we are not. We do get time where we can enjoy our social life. Til now i have been to 4 trips. Our college conduct 2 fest in one year. One is intercollege and other is intracollege. Everyone knows about night life of xhandigarh.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel here is very spacious and fees is very genuine. It's only 15000 and this add's upto 24000. We have to pay mess bill monthly which comes out to be 4000. Since everyone gets bored of mess food even we do get. More than mess we eat outside the premises.
Admission
I appeared in state counselling and i cleared that in 2nd attempt. My marks and rank was not so good so that i can apply for other colleges. Talking about gmch it provides you with great infrastructure, great faculty, daily doctor to patient interaction and even the concerted on college fest.
Faculty
It feels really very honoured to be taught by the well known doctors of chandigarh. Even they have there ongoing OPDS still they take out time for us and put lots of efforts to teach us. They even provide us with videos of surgeries. There is one university that is held at the end of year and for passing it we require 50% atleast. Those who doesn't clear it have to sit in supplementary exam.
