The atmosphere of the college is very nice. It is green, has fresh air.

Dislikes

The relations between a faculty and a student is really bad, the teachers just fail the students if they dont listen.
The hostel is very bad. It js unhygienic and has horrible food

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm a part of the Robotics department, I would say the course is finely made. The course includes practicals and theory too. So overall the coursework curriculum is fine. And its is good for people with no prerequisites

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 452000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees is 56000 for a whole semester, there are in college scholarships and the fees remains constant but in case of hostel fees it has been increasing 2500 per semester. The fees increases by 2500 every sem irrespective of the bad facilities

Campus Life

The campus life has been good. The campus is beautiful but the lodging facilities are just worse. The library had a lot of rooms. We have Labs for the required domains. The sports part is a bit loose. They never pay properly for the competitions and equipment.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is as bad as it can be. The hostel rooms are congested and the food tastes horrible, it's like living in a slum, water clogging during rains are common, go for a rented place near sarisha or dostipur

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

There is no exam for admission in the college, but there are scholarships based in your scores in Class 12, JEE and WBJEE. So the admission was pretty easy and everything was good. But the scholarship doesn't work if you fail your exams

The faculty to student ratio is less, but the faculties are not cooperative, they fail to understand The view of a student. It's like they really don't care about the students. But the teaching is fine, wouldn't say it's bad but it's not good either

Good Faculty but Average Campus Life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was relevant for beginners and covered important computer subjects like programming basics, DBMS, networking, and computer fundamentals. It helped in understanding the foundation of IT and software. However, the curriculum needs more practical sessions, coding practice, live projects and industry level skills. Exams were conducted semester wise with internal assessment, and the difficulty level was moderate. Overall the curriculum is good for basics, but it should be updated with more modern topics and practical learning.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

All our professors were very helpful and kind to everyone. They were always one step forward in helping us in every way possible. They were friendly and very knowledgeable. Our course curriculum had data analysis and econometrics, which every company looks for. The topics taught were relevant. Semester exams were not very easy, but our professors prepared us in every way. The pass percentage was approximately 85%. Students were among the top-ranked in the city.

Admission can be taken here only after completing higher secondary from a legitimate institution. This college has its own website on Google, from there the admission process can be completed. One can sit for the final semester exam by taking the two main tests of each semester. I have no idea about improving the admission process...Read More

Overall it was a smooth process. But there were many areas were they gave me misinformations like the course has been updated to 4 years but they gave me a bonafide of 3 years and i came to know it after my loan was passed.
