Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Electrical engineering is truely an awesome subject. It's obvious that it is a huge subject indeed but it's very much interesting. The network theory, analog electronics these chapters are also awesome. The teachers should be appreciated for their kind efforts to make us understand this subject and find interest in it. Course curriculum is well and good but the exam taking frequency is average.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college communicates with the rrb for internship program for the EE and ECE students . The 3rd year students gets the opportunity from the college for doing internships from all departments. And some are free and some has the stipend. The 3rd year students gets the projects and they have to work on it over a year and exhibit it on the fourth year.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 7th semester the students are eligible to get campus placement. The companies like Wipro, TCS, L&T, ADANI, INFOSYS often visits and takes candidates. The highest package is 21lpa and avg package is 6.7 to 7 lpa. Overall 65% students get placed and 35% students prepare for the government exams like ssc je, ssc chsl, ssc cgl, GATE, RRB , UPSC etc. My plan is of doing government job after btech and besides I am preparing for GATE.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tution fees and other compulsory fee is 3000 rupees per sem. The tution fees gets reduced for twf category students. And the students get Swami vivekananda scholarship and OASIS scholarship besides they get other government(PMSS) or non government scholarship easily and for the assistance and help of the faculty members.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual festival is ESPERANZA. which includes the tech event byteburst and cultural event SARGAM. this event occurs at the end weak of April Or first weak of may. The library includes all kind of books and even it's very much clean and well organized. Classrooms and so much clean and all classroom have sufficient benches for sitting . The cc tv cameras are their in the classrooms. This college have overall 15 clubs in it and the students actively participate here and enjoys a lot. This clubs makes us confident and improves our social skills.

Admission

A student have to clear the Wbjee exam and get a decent rank under 20k to get this stream in this college . I am talking this on the perspective of the general students for any student who have some category he can get this or other branches with >20k rank. The application form fees and dates are given in the wbjee official website portal. This wbjee exam happens only one time in a year. The application process starts at the end of december and ends end or mid of january. The exam starts mid or last of April.

Faculty

4

As I am in the 1st year of my btech program I have got 3 to 4 teachers over a particular subject in my 1st year program. The faculty members are totally awesome. They focus on the conceptual learning to the students and they are truely friendly. Even we can connect them through their personal number for any kind of study related issue. And they attend us like our friend. I have never seen them to get irritated for the is whole business. Even if it's the time 12 o'clock we can connect them easily. If the problem is some kind of mass issue then we also can connect them through Google meet. They are truely impressive teachers. Even our principle Dr. Prabal Deb sir is soo much friendly with the students. He communicates with us like our big brother and friend.

Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.
