Study style in IIT

No bad comments for iit Guwahati. I never found good teachers in Delhi universities but in iit, I find good teachers and I love that thing.

I chose this institute because it provides maths with computing. And I wanted to learn applied maths. This is the only reason for this. And yeah I want to go for Ph.D. in applied maths and I love to do research in abstract algebra and I think this is the only reason for that.

The course is good. And one thing I want to say the clear exam is easy but to survive in iit is really difficult. Marking scheme and question paper are so tough. But overall teachers are really good. And course structure is really good for my future. I think it will help.

Yeah, it provides the internship. The general stipend is 12-15 thousand. I never join such an internship. Because I am interested in the research field.

Placements depend on yr computer skills. If you are good on the computer then u will get a good package around above 10 lakhs. Job opportunities are really good. In iit people know very well. If there are no good placements in iit why people do work hard.

Actually, I am a master student so I have to focus on my studies. But yeah for enjoyment there are a lot of things to do. I usually go for sports. There are many cultural events. There are many robotics events too for BTech students even we can join also if we are interested.

It is a little bit expensive. In my first sem I had to pay around 50 thousand and in further sem, I need to pay 30 thousand. But it is obvious because in iit there are many good facilities. So fee structure little bit expensive for the middle-class family.

Yeah, they provide lone for poor students. And there are many good scholarships too. For toppers, they give scholarships too.

Campus life is really good. We know iit Guwahati is one of the best and clean campus in India so obviously, we love it to stay. There are many societies. I am not that much interested in this. And I am maths student so there is no lab facility for us.B ut we have computer labs for coding. In this iit, they give us one computer. So that's a good thing. And labs are really good.

In my hostel mess, food is really good. And one of the best thing they provide us personal room for each person. And I love that privacy is important. In the hostel, there are many sports facility. And I love that thing. There is one library in each hostel that's a good thing.

Alumni structure is good and seniors are really supportive. People are in iit really supportive academic as well as emotionally.

Exam structure is really good not like in universities where they repeat questions. Here teachers give us new problems and target problems in the exam so we have to think and solve those problems during the exam. And one more thing in this institute each week there is at least one exam. Now u can understand bit busy.

I cleared this exam during my graduation. So I started studying from 4 sem of my graduation and read only basic books and solved old question papers. After that, I joined a test series and it helped a lot to build confidence. As a result, I am a student of IIT Guwahati.

I am not that much good to judge such great teachers. But I want to say one thing these people are really really good. They are a little bit rude. But this is obvious because you are in iit as well as in masters. So it is important. And these people are really good in their field.
