The exposure you get being an svkm student is worth it, the fest culture is both fun and a great opportunity to learn and network, there are multiple fests and committees you can be a part of , you get be a leader interact with students and professionals across mumbai, and the concerts are crazy

Admission

I appeared for mincet to be eligible for admission in svkm. The admission process can be complicated as you have to apply to mumbai university first and then to your preferred colleges. The college does have reservations.

Faculty

NM possess the most qualified faculty members, especially for those pursuing CA/CFA etc, you will be taught by the most experienced CAs themselves, the faculty also is very hands on with their students and are always available for them

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
