What Students Say
Likes
- The college environment and the surrounding feels like it’s far from the city which makes it peaceful
- The entire college life isn’t stressful feels very easy going
- People are engaging , faculty is chill and clubs are active and there are activities happening every now and then.
Dislikes
- Distance from the nearest bus stop and the college is around a kilometer which one needs to walk every morning sometimes isn’t as easy
- People don’t easily participate in events and feels like you were there for nothing
- Gym timings - there’s different timing for female and males which isn’t a problem but female students need to use the gym in the morning that’s during class hours and male students in the evening which doesn’t make sense
Course Curriculum Overview
I only finished my first year that is 2 semesters which is common core curriculum, I'd say it's more of what of you but in depth that prepares you for further challenges in the next semesters . I chose data science because it's quite in the boom and math plays quite a part of it which I love. The faculty encourages us into joining mooc courses that help get a better grip on the subject . You can always go the library and get a hold on the books that you want and it's quite helpful. There are 2 internal assessment with that take place in the course of 2 months with one month of gap between the other and the difficulty level is moderate but if you pay attention in the classes it's quite easy . You'll be given assignments on each subject that sometimes you'll have to research on which helps get a greater insight on the subject you are dealing with . Each internal assessment test is 1.5 hours and the Semester end exams are for 3 hours
Internships Opportunities
Every student is compelled to do 2 internships in the course of 2 years while the college also provides internships students can choose to them outside as well . Some internships are given stipend while some aren't . My senior have mention led . But l since I im in the first year I still haven't gotten any internships . But it's compulsory to do projects for design thinking and in the 3 rd semester for making with electronics .
Placement Experience
The college curriculum prepares you well for placenta every semester you'll have different courses that will help you with placements just as soft skills , personal effectiveness , placement assistance training and many more that will help and nurture you for the interviews. The college focuses on these courses very well . There are internships available from 2nd semester and placements are available from 6th semester , Cmru students also visit Cmrit campus for placement which is a plus point . There are many good companies that visit cmrit . While cmru is a newly established university it's good to say that placement oppression are not bad . Average package is around 4.5 . My plans after getting a degree is to set up a product like or do my masters
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for 2023 was 3,25,000 which was supposed to be paid in a single installment or two . The complete cost for education would be 13 lakhs but with all transport it might be around 14 for all the four years . Transport per year is around 40k . There are scholarships where if you are ex Cmr student that is Pu college or school you get a 10% scholarship And there also scholarships for sports , athletics I'm not aware of all of them The college provides you with internships with or without stipend . But it promises you internships
Campus Life
I'd say overall campus experience is 8/10 The crowd is good . The annual fest is called Ranvita which is held in the month of march. The library IS GOOD !! Any course you have the books but when it comes to non academic you don't have many there are donated books you can chose from . There's smartboards in the classes lectures are usually through.a presentation . There are sports events held every now and there for both faculty and students . There basket ball court, badminton and many indoor and outdoor sports you can get access to on the campus ground on the daily basis and there is also gym access for the students. There are MANY student run clubs and club activities take place almost every Friday. The clubs include tech , cultural , literary, music, art , gaming , sports etc. there are college sports teams that compete with inter college and state level.
Admission
My admission was through management but there is also eligibility for comed-K and Kcet . The admission process is not hectic you can either go to the college fill the application form or you can get it online on the Cmr university website . You'll be given a campus tour . The staff is pretty chill and will help you throughout the process of admission you'll have to submit few documents such as marks card photos Aadhar etc .
Faculty
Every 30 students have a designated mentor for that particular semester . Faculty is well qualified though few of them are not so easy to aprroach most of the faculty members are cool and encourage students. There's a lot of seminars conducted by the faculty which are quite helpful The teachers methods are good though there is always one or two negatives in some teachers it's quite manageable. They aren't strict most of the times . You can interact with the faculty anytime between the college hours and they are quite helpful. Most of them tell you about internships and opportunities , quite useful
Other Applied Colleges
Presidency University | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
The atmosphere and environment was better compared to that of presidency and the fee was comparatively less
