Each semester, CMRU assigns a mentor to every 30 students, providing guidance and support. The faculty is qualified and approachable, often organizing seminars to enhance learning. They effectively teach and assist students with internships and opportunities. The curriculum is well-structured, focusing on placement readiness through courses on soft skills and personal effectiveness. Internship opportunities begin in the second semester, with placements starting in the sixth semester. CMRU students can also participate in placements at the CMRIT campus, which hosts many reputable companies.
Although CMRU is a newer university, it offers decent placement opportunities with an average package of approximately 4.5 lakh INR. Students must complete two internships over two years, which can be external and may include a stipend. Projects in design thinking and electronics become mandatory from the third semester. The tuition fee for 2023 is 3,25,000 INR per year, payable in one or two installments, resulting in a four-year education cost of around 13 lakhs INR, which increases to 14 lakhs INR when including transportation costs of about 40,000 INR per year.
Scholarships are available, including a 10% reduction for former CMR students and those excelling in sports and athletics. The college also ensures internship opportunities, though stipends are not guaranteed.
