Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I basically wanted the cse branch as we all know Computer science is really essential for us. However, due to my rank slightly being lower than the actual cut-off rank of the CSE branch I choose the CSBS branch. This branch not only provides us with all the important subjects from cse department which is why I chose this branch but it also provides us with subjects about business systems and management. Business studies is something I was slightly interested in so I had nothing to worry about choosing this branch.

Placement Experience

4

In recent years, the placement of this college has been better. It is now in the top 4 private Colleges for BTech in West Bengal. Almost every student gets placed if he fulfills the criteria. A lot of IT companies visit the college and recruit a lot of students. The average package is 360000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for college is 425000 but there are also skill development fees which we have to pay every odd semester and also there is exam form fees which need to be filled in order to sit in exams. Also if you are a hostel student, there are seperate hostel fees for hostel students which they have to pay every month. There is no available scholarship provided by the college but they help students in availing svmcm scholarships and getting student loans.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college holds cultural and technical fests every year. The annual cultural fest 'Arcedia' is held in summer and lasts for 2 whole days where famous singers and entertainers come and give performances, many food stalls and lighting are set up all around the campus to make the moment enjoyable. The annual tech-fest 'Techfiesta' is also held around summer where many tech events and competitions are held. The tech-fest is available for other colleges as well as many schools from where many students may participate. Every event has prize money for the winning team/player. The college library is open to all and accessible during college hours. We can also rent books for free if we return them within the time. Every student is free to access the playing ground during college hours to around 6:30 PM. Hostelers can access the playing ground any time a day day. We also get a good amount of technical provisions within the classroom.

Admission

To take admission to AOT, we have to clear the wbjee exam or jee-mains and take admission through counseling. There are also reserved seats for lower castes.AOT also has tuition fees waver which is applicable for many students. The required cut-off for different branches is- CSE-11k, CSBS-25k, ECE-33k, EE-45k, ME, and EEE around 63k.

Faculty

4.5

There is a seperate faculty for every different subject of every branch. The faculty teaching at AOT is highly knowledgeable and they come from many highly qualified colleges like IITs, NITs, and even MITs.Every teacher provides us with teaching materials. Teaches mainly teach us in English but some teachers also use Bengal as a teaching language. Even when we approach the teachers after lecture hours they help us solve our doubts and provide us with guidance.
