Remarks

Admin work is slow. Teaching faculties are so good.

Entrance Preview

I opted this college as my percentage had matched its cutoff and the most important thing was it is one of the best science colleges of Delhi University and having various popular alumni. College campus is so good and teachers are very supportive and responsive.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is very interesting. My favorite part was the practicals. In practicals, there was the portion and that was the sectioning. Amazing work. And the most important thing is I realized the life of plants in that college. All the teachers are very friendly.

Internships Opportunities

As I know there is no facility for the internship but several cultural and academic programmes are organized occasionally.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is a placement cell and that has different placement coordinator for various courses. They are the medium of information to be provided to a student of companies as well as jobs and internship. Job opportunities are very less from placement and it depends upon the course type.

College Events

4

SABRANG - The college fest. Sanjeevani - the annual function of botanical society And there are so many cultural activities are conducted occasionally. Some sports-related programmes and competition are going to be conducted in every month. Once in a year, there is Saraswati pujan on Basant Panchami

Fee Structure And Facilities

It depends upon the type of course. Arts courses are very feasible while science courses are some expensive but affordable. In science courses, biochemical and chemistry are expensively related to other courses while arts courses are so feasible like BA in Sanskrit, history, social science.

Fees and Financial Aid

Meritorious students get the cash prize on the annual day of college. And one scholarship is for poor students.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good, girls are more than boys, diversity is present. Students are from different parts of India. There are several extracurricular activities are conducted here... Labs are so good... Full of resources. And there is a sporting society for archery and volleyball and other games

Hostel Facilities

1.5

No hostel and no mess. Only there is a canteen. College lacks the hostel facilities as well as mess facilities. It is a day college no hostelers. The student comes to college on daily basis from there home and goes back daily to their home. The hostel is needed.

Alumni/Alumna

Manoj Tiwari an actor and politician come to college every year. But I haven't remembered any of his comments.

Exam Structure

There is a semester system is organized in our college. In odd semester the exams are held in November-December while in even semester exams are conducted in May-June. The theory is of 75 marks and 25 marks for internals and 50 marks are added for practicals.

Admission

First of all, I had applied for admission in Delhi University for that there was a form to be filled for admission. After I waited for the release of cut-off of the different colleges of Delhi University. I got the admission in 5th or 6th cut-off of Deshbandhu College.

Faculty

5

After entering the campus there is a way towards our department building through admin building. In my department building, there is various department also regulated like zoology, chemistry and some courses such as life science, physical science etc.

Reviewed on Mar 2, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
