Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum provided by the college is at the best these includes all the necessary aspects of the course and the faculty members are very strict in following the curriculum.Also exams are conducted whic includes class tests for internals and a mid sem exam and an endsem exam every semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure here are fixed .Students have to pay tution fee and hostel fees before the commencement of the semester .The system provides many scholarships which students can avail,which includes e grantz,pmms etc.

Campus Life

Talking about the fests ,the fest in college includes thatva and ragam both are considered to be of one of the best technical and cultural fests in south india .These are conducted avery year.The college also provides with many number of clubs that helps the students to improve their skills in their favourite areas.

Admission

The admission to this college is strictly based on jee mains exam as this college ranks 23 rd in nirf the students must have a decent percentile in jee mains.Jee mains is conducted by NTA every year. The exam includes physics chemistry maths and total marks is 300.

The faculty to student ratio is very flexible. The time schedule for classes make it very easy for students.As this a government institution the professors are highly qualified.students can approach teachers at any time and contact details are provided.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
