Remarks

Good Self financing Engineering college in Kerala. The college keep track of high academic result. The management supports all the extra curricular activities of students. Since the college is situated in a village, their is no bus facility.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The duration of course is 4 years. The curriculum is divided into 8 semesters. Each semesters contain 6 subjects and 3 labs(internal and external). The curriculum is so tight the teachers try so hard to complete the portion within time. The Course Structure is mainly focused on to theoretical knowledge and their is less space for Research.

Placement Experience

2.5

Their is an efficient Placement Cell. The companies mainly concentrated on providing jobs for students in other courses. The mechanical students very rarely get job through the campus placement facility. The college isn't providing any internship programme the students need to find it if they needed.

College Events

4

Each year the college conducts two Tech Fests one for the Engineering section and for the Management Department. The Engineering Tech Fest is named as OBSQURA. OBSQURA is one of the biggest tech fests conducted in Kerala. The duration of the fest is 3 days. Each department creates and display their works. Their will be games and interesting programmes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My college fees is 50000rs for one year plus University Fees 9000. So a grand total of 59000 is my yearly fees. The fee structure is different for each students. It depends upon their type of admission and their PLUS TWO mark. I think the fee structure is feasible when comparing it with other engineering colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers scholarship for students with good marks in PLUS TWO as a reduction in fees. Except from that Merit Cum Mean scholarship and Vidya Sammunnathi scholarship offered by the Central Government is available for the students.

Campus Life

2.5

Each year the college conducts Sport and Arts for promoting the extra skills of the students. The college has around 2000 students in various departments. Each department can conduct their own workshops and Cultural Societies. Their exist no political parties or organisation.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't have any such experiences. In fact their exist an Alumni Network (i don't know if it is active or not). I believe that the management has not interest in conducting an alumni meeting. Their exists whatsapp groups and that kind of friendly groups among students.

Admission

I always wanted to be a Mechanical Engineer. The college provides 7 graduation courses. I admitted to this college through Merit list. I passed the KEAM Entrance Exam and i made into the rank list. Then i submitted my college preferences and i got admitted into this college.

Faculty

3.5

Most of teachers have PHDs and higher degrees. Because of the tightness in curriculum teachers are trying very hard to complete the portion. They skip many portions which are not so important. Teachers try to be more friendly with the students but the management is so strict. So teachers always keep some distance from the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
