Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum consists of only base level knowledge and I don't think it will prepare us for the real world jobs. The curriculum should include some job oriented course to enhance the skills of it's students. They conduct frequent small test papers to assess our knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
Some companies that provide internship at the campus are Pacelab, Facelab etc. Usually they only give internship for about a month or week. If you Excel in the internship you may get stipend. The project should be clear and there should be an output.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees for BTech in Computer science and engineering is Rs. 85000/- which includes the tution fees,lab fees admission fees, development fees and the other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category for management. Where as there is caution fee of 10000/- at the starting of the course. Some that have reserved catagory has huge fee deduction as far as only 5000 a year They also provide scholarship for excellent performing students.
Campus Life
They conduct a tech fest every 4 years and the other culturals are also conducted throughout the year. There is campus library and also dedicated library for each department which offers a verity of text books etc. The faculties are good and the campus is well developed The sports events are also conducted. There are various clubs for students to join.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are rather good. The room consists of 3 beds and some storage area and a common area for toilets and washing and washrooms . The meals are average. The registration for hostel is easy and the affordabililty is average.
Admission
I applied for Rajagiri college of engineering and technology and SNGCE where I was not able to get my desired course. Where as in ICET I got my desired course and it is above average compared to other colleges There is no specific elegibility for addmission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 3 faculty for 60 students. The faculties are very encouraging and supportive of their students. Miss Theresa is one of the best mentors I could have got in computer science department. There consists of 2 main exams series 1 and series 2 which decide the internal mark of the students
Night Life
There is a campus gym and also cafeterias, library and public sitting areas which is accessible for boys till 8 PM and till 6.30 for girls. The hostel timing for boys is 8 PM and for girls is 6.30 PM There are some hills and ponds around the campus for chilling.
