Course Curriculum Overview
The interest for life science made me to take the subject to study botany honours.The curriculum composed of many laboratory experiments as well as field work. The curriculum prepares the aspirant to work in many food , horticulture industries or as a lecturer in colleges and universities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a government college scholarship was provided to the SC/ST candidates on some basis and also to the students who scored above 90-95 in the senior secondary examination. The admission fees was 5000 in bsc Botany and for rest 5 semester 1000 centre fees including exam fees and other charges were taken.
Campus Life
Social and cultural programmes were held in our campus. The holi festival and saraswati puja was also held in our college.Imdepemdence day , Republic day was celebrated with March past bt the NCC cadets and along with some patriotic songs. Annual sports were also conducted along with some exhibitions from different other colleges held in our college. Excursion from different departments were conducted and along with that the nutrition and microbiology department students were taken to various food industries .
Hostel Facilities
The room was big enough each for four tenants . According to the price charged food quality was ok Overall menu for 1 week was vegetable like bottleguard, cauliflower, cabbage,beans, paneer,egg twice in a week and in weekend meat or fish.etc. For the hostel a form fillup was done considering the distance from the college to the student house location.according to that hostel was provided.
Admission
Candidates must pass in 10+2 or its equivalent examination in Science subjects with at least 50% marks obtained by the candidate in Biology subject and in aggregate from a reputed board of the country. Reserved candidate (Sc/St) candidates can avail a bit low cutoff during the counciling process. Exam timing was 2 HR for the paper. There is no requirement of any improvement in admission process .Bt it will be better if it is done online .
Faculty
The faculty were amiable and experienced enough.Everybody were a doctorate or PhD holder . Without taking any tuition I scored well in my honours paper .Our Head of the department was strict but we're friendly with us.Our female teachers were cooperative and helpful .They used to took us for field activity to choose types of species .Our lab assistant also communicated well with us.
