Likes

A very good aspect of this college is that it also give fee consetion to the students who have low finance.
This college also has NSS unit where the students involve themselves for giving social services etc

Dislikes

Some teachers are way too rude with the students. Unnecessarily they disturb students and find ways to scold them.
There should be more circular activities in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The semester exam occurs twice a year . Also in a year internal exam also take place twice. The internals exam papers are set by college professors only which use to be very very tough. There are teachers who are very strict during these exams. This college is government oriented which influenced me to take admission here .

Internships Opportunities

There are some internship programs held during the time of sessions. Also various companies took webinars and seminars for the students to accomplish and help in their career counseling. The Tata Consultancy Services company also known as TCS gives placement from this college

Fees and Financial Aid

As earlier mentioned it is a government college,so the fee structure is very low in this college. The overall complete cost of my education in this college was 15 thousand only. The college also provides fee concession for the students with low finance background. It also provides scholarships like Swami Vivekananda scholarship with the amount of 12 thousand rupees.

Campus Life

There are freshers and farewells organised for the students. Also college has its student welfare committee which organises annual day sports every year. There is also fests once or twice the year . The Basant Utsav is the most famous and enjoyable event of the college which is organised during Holi.

Admission

As this is a government college, the cutoff for the admission is very high . There is no entrance exam for taking admission. Candidate can directly fill form from its official website and the college will take admission accordingly from merit list. The site sometimes crashes and the server gets down which needs to be improved

Faculty

The strength of the students is very high. There are classrooms that and wide and open and have good air and ventilation. The Professors in this college are highly qualified. Some professor are very Frank with the students and they interact in a very good way They helped us during our assignments and academics. However, during the time of internals exam, the professors are way too strict for the students. They set the hardest paper at their most.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Various companies come to this college for on campus placement Average package= 1000000 Highest package=2200000 Various multi national company and other big and small companies visit this college for on campus placement. Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

Decent government college which needs to improve.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

There was only 3 better colleges I couldn't apply to. They were St.Xaviers Kolkata, Goenka and Maulana Azad. Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is among the top 5 colleges and is well known. It is also the best college in North Kolkata, some might not agree to me though. The deciding factors for me were very low fees, decent quality teachers, and the most important, quality of crowd and reputation of the college.
