Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is decently built for management and business enthusiasts. There is an option to choose a specialization in the 3rd year between marketing and finance. A lot of the finance syllabus covers modules of CFA level 1 while marketing subjects can use a little bit of more practical and hands on approach. The first two years you learn about operations, marketing, finance, HR and some subjects you might find boring and obselete like communications and EVS. The course can be better if they included more case studies and focused on relevant areas and possibly tie up with third party corporates for extensive training. The exams are held at the end of the semester and are of moderate difficulty which make up 75% of your sgpa (may vary for other course) and 25% from internals which are easy to score in. You can easily aim for 8+ sgpa if you study a week before the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
There are a lot of internship opportunities but usually from smaller firms and companies. There are however few notable companies which have offered internships like Axis bank and Goldman Sachs. The internship roles and outcomes vary across the domains.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for placements after 5th semester. The top packages are bagged by courses like bcom Hons, baf, bfm. There are various BFSI companies and some of the big 4 like Deloitte and EY. A lot of smaller companies also visit the campus. The average package ranges around 3-6L and top package is 21L. Almost all students will get placed if they sit in placements but majority of the students like me plan to pursue higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Originally the fee structure of my course was 1.05L but it was revised to 1.2L later. Still it is pretty affordable for most students especially in a city like mumbai. The goverment aided courses would be even cheaper and run you around 30k. There is fee deduction for reserved candidates only for goverment aided courses You can buy textbooks but the faculties usually provdie you with notes. Recrutiers can approach the students for internships which are usually unpaid but some students have gotten stipends upto 15000
Campus Life :
Khsitij is the largest fest of the college and a very big fest in mumbai as well but there are a plethora of department specific fests as well like Colosseum, numero, etc. The library is sufficiently large and houses most of the books which cover all the disciplines. Fringe books may be hard to find. Almost every class has a smart board installed so you get presentations and videos incorporated in your learning. There is also the Rotaract club, a consulting society and Enactus present.
Admission :
The course is open to all streams after 12th across all boards. The application form can be found online on the website of the college. The entrance of my batch was done according to MINCET but they've shifted to CUET last year. Overall the admission process is pretty easy and they'll provide you assistance over call or mail.
Faculty :
The faculties all have atleast a master's qualification and some of them also hold PhDs in their disciplines. There are around 40-50 students in a class though there might be more in aided courses like bcom general (80-90) so it feels like a school classroom. The faculties are usually very approachable and solve your doubts.
