- The infrastructure of college is very basic
- There is no auditorium in college which is a major setback and it is holding a lot of exciting event opportunities back
- Faculty of some departments is very lethargic and don't pay much attention to students even if they come to teach they'll not teach you the right level of questions that does come in exams
Course Curriculum Overview
This course B.A. (H) Economics is most toughest course of the DU for a reason! The curriculum we have is exactly same as what's taught in the prestigious London school of economics This is probably the only course of DU which does not have any books from indian authors, all the materials that we follow are from English authors This is a very nice course giving you comprehensive knowledge about economics, maths and statistics as well!
Internships Opportunities
A lot of internship opportunities are provided by our placement cell in tier 2 companies. The stiped usually stays around 5000/- to 10000/- And sometimes it's performance based as well Even they have an annual internship fair as well in which 100s of companies take part to recruit interns in various fields
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell in our college which is one of the best and they give a plenty of opportunities both in terms of placement as well as internships and make sure they keep everyone updated about them through their community groups!
Fees and Financial Aid
So talking about the fees, it's already very low because of it being a Government College, the price charts are given on college's website and fee hike is very rare The college provides a wide range of scholarship opportunities that are given in the website along with these, they have their own fee concession facilities where they give chance to certain students on the basis of merit for fee concession!
Campus Life
Campus life is good, i can say crowd is best in my course and library is fully air conditioned and even they have an e-library as well. Thier is projector in each class which can be used if needed. Opportunities for sports and extra curricular activities are their through college societies!
Admission
The admission process is very simple. You just have you give the CUET (Common University Admission Test) And then your scores are normalised to scores of people in other shifts to keep it fare but it actually reduces marks of many costing them a good college that they deserve. This is something that's causing a lot of inconvenience to students and unsatisfactory allotment of college-course combination This needs to be worked upon.
Faculty
Faculty to students ratio is good and staff is well qualified We have a lot PhD holders as our professor and there are very less assistant professor which is a good thing It guarantees us quality education from experienced faculty but at the same time faculty of certain departments is very mixed, some of them are very good while ohers are just their for the sake of it This needs to be improved
